Just as a vase, etc., does not exist before it is produced, so too, seeds, etc., do not actually exist before a sprout is produced, therefore they are not the cause of a sprout. If it is said that what does not exist before it is produced, the sprout also exists, and similarly the vase, etc., also exists in the same way, but people think that the sprout is produced from seeds, etc., and do not think that it is produced from vases, etc., what reason is there for this? If it does not exist for the time being, then what is the cause of what? Thus the first proposition has been proven. Now, in order to prove the second proposition, the second part, "also," is stated. To show how it is not possible to be a cause when it exists, it is: "If it exists, what does the cause do?" That is to say, if it exists, even in conventional terms, the existence of the sprout itself is not considered to be the cause of seeds, etc., because it does not depend on the action of producing. For example, the person who is already born or other vases, etc. Here, "the sprout exists by itself" is the subject, "even in conventional terms, it is not considered to be the cause of seeds, etc." is the property to be established, and "because it does not depend on the action of producing" is the property that establishes it. For example, the sprout that is already born or other vases, etc., that are already born, their own existence does not depend on the action of producing, similarly, in worldly conventions, it is not considered to be its cause, similarly, the sprout's own existence does not depend on the action of producing, so in worldly conventions, it is not considered to be the cause of seeds, etc. This is the intention of the author. The intention of the author of the sutra is like that. Therefore, the meaning of the argument is not established, because of what was said, "The cause is not permissible for the meaning of non-existence or existence, if there is no existence, then what is the cause?" seeds, etc., cannot be the cause of the sprout's existence or non-existence.

RA. The true meaning of the arguments of those who claim existence is that their causes are only those that produce internal birthplaces, because they are causes. For example, seeds and the like produce sprouts. Whatever does not produce, there is no cause, for example, like a rabbit's horn, it is said that it is not established. Among the Samkhyas, whatever exists is because the causes make it manifest, and because they make it coarse. If it exists, what is the use of the cause? It is unreasonable to say so. The summary meaning here is that among the Samkhyas, those who speak of power and those who speak of manifestation say, the author says: If it exists, what is the use of the cause? It is unreasonable to say so, why? Thus, in the darkness, those who exist but do not appear, such as vases, do not need causes such as lamps to make them appear? From the cause, the effect exists as the nature of ability, and does it not need causes such as earth and water to make it coarse? Therefore, the author is wrongly speaking. It is said so. The answer to that saying is that the explanation itself here has already canceled their manifestation, and the coarseness itself, for existence and non-existence itself, becomes the fault of what has been said. That is what "ginao" said, of which "their manifestation has also been canceled" is that, at the time of canceling the manifestation before, the non-manifestation examined by the Samkhyas is not manifest, because the great and the like are not manifest. For example, like a flower in the sky, with such answers, the non-manifestation has been canceled. The coarseness itself, for existence and non-existence itself, the fault of what has been said before, is expressed in this way, temporarily to the Samkhyas, one should ask in this way, is the coarseness itself made by the cause of the existing one, or is the non-existing one made by the cause? To this, if the coarseness itself is made by the cause of the non-existing one, therefore the teacher says: If there is nothing, what is the cause? It is said that the manifestation itself does not exist, like a flower in the sky.
