do. The term 'this' means to indicate closely. The phrase 'if it truly becomes a cause' means if it truly becomes a cause of actions, afflictions, confusion, and so on, for the internal sources of generation. The phrase 'is it the cause of something that exists or does not exist' means to examine two possibilities: is it the cause of something that exists or does not exist? The phrase 'it is not reasonable for it to be both of those' indicates that if there is a result, a cause is not needed; and if there is no result, it will not become a cause of anything. Therefore, if examined by that very reasoning, the reasoning of considering it a cause is not valid, thus showing that there is no arising from a cause. Therefore, it is said, 'For the sake of what exists or does not exist, a cause is not reasonable.' This is said to show that it is not reasonable for it to be both of those. This is connected to the verse spoken by the venerable Nagarjuna. Here, it is said that two commitments are shown. The fact that it is not reasonable to be a cause of something that does not exist is the two commitments. The fact that it is not reasonable to be a cause of something that exists is the second commitment. The first half of the verse shows those two commitments. The second half of the verse establishes it. Among them, what shows how it is not reasonable to be a cause of something that does not exist is: 'What is the cause of something that does not exist?' This is said to mean that after showing the two commitments, what shows how confusion and so on are not reasonable to be a cause of something that does not exist is this third root verse. The phrase 'Here, what is the cause of non-existent things like sky flowers, that the shoots of maluta are?' means that in this world, what is the cause of non-existent things like sky flowers and rabbit horns, that the shoots of maluta trees are? It is not the cause of anything. This indicates that if we see the inherent nature of the result and call it a cause for its arising, then when the causes do not have the inherent nature of the result, how can confusion and so on, and grains and so on, be causes?

It also transforms into a noun and does not change. Therefore, they are not the cause of any sky flowers and rabbit horns, saying the meaning of this sentence. The shoots of Maluta are not the cause of any non-existent sky flowers and rabbit horns, this is a conclusion. This is shown with a legally consistent example, meaning: If there is none, what is the cause? This verse's root is: For example, in this world, sky flowers and rabbit horns do not exist, what is the cause of the Maluta shoots, it should be known. They should know that they are not the cause of any sky flowers and rabbit horns. They are not the cause of any sky flowers and rabbit horns, the meaning of this sentence is, this example shows fruits, eyes, etc., and without sprouts, sprouts, etc. and grains, etc. are what causes, it should be known. They are not the cause of any eyes, etc. and no sprouts, this is the meaning considered, this is a legally consistent example. If there is no fruit, the dharma of the cause is the absence of the fruit itself, and the dharma of the fruit is also the absence of itself, this is not the meaning expressed by a legally consistent example. It is shown like this: In this way, when there is no fruit, the causes have the dharma called the absence of the fruit itself, and the fruit also has the dharma called the absence of its own nature, therefore, if there is no fruit, the cause will not become anything, and the fruit will not become anything, in order. Therefore, inference is shown like this: The teacher himself said: For things that are absent or present, the cause is not suitable. This shows two vows with aspects of dharma, for this, the reason and example also in order: If there is none, what is the cause? If there is, what is the cause for? Using these two roots to show, here first, if there is none, what is the cause? This earliest reason, for the two inferences of negating the cause and negating the fruit, are shown in order.
