In the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, it is said: "Subhuti, all these are taught as worldly designations, but in reality, they are not." Also, in the Noble Cloud of Jewels Sutra, it says: "One who is skilled in conventional truth and skilled in ultimate truth." Its characteristic is to designate as form, but in ultimate truth, form is without object and without manifest attachment. It is designated between enlightenment and the accomplishment of enlightenment, but in ultimate truth, enlightenment and the accomplishment of enlightenment are without object and without manifest attachment. Also, in the Noble Sutra Taught by Inexhaustible Intelligence, it says: "What is conventional truth? It is what is taught in worldly designations by letters, sounds, and symbols. What is ultimate truth? It is that in which there is not even the activity of the mind, let alone letters." Thus, the two truths with their characteristics are taught. Also, in the Noble Lankavatara Sutra, it says: "Conventional and ultimate, there is no third born from causes. Conventional is imputed by discrimination, its cessation is the realm of the noble ones." Thus it is said, the first half of the verse teaches the two truths, and the second half teaches its characteristics. Again, in the same sutra, it says: "As the noble ones discriminate, the own-nature of things is non-existent. As children discriminate, things are only existent." Thus it is said. Also, in the Noble Sutra of the Meeting of Father and Son, it says: "The knower of the world, without hearing from others, sees these two truths himself. Whatever is conventional is also ultimate, there is no other third truth." Thus it is said. Thus, the Tathagata understands conventional and ultimate truth, and the knowable is exhausted by as much as there is of conventional and ultimate truth. Moreover, the Bhagavan sees emptiness very well, understands it very well, and manifests it very well. Therefore, he is called the All-Knowing One, which is truly wonderful!" Thus it is also said. Among these, conventional truth is what the Tathagata observes through the door of worldly conduct. Among these, what is called the world is established as an assembly of reason and unreason.

It is said. The behavior of that world refers to the behavior of body, speech, and mind, which is the conventional truth. Or, For those who engage in worldly activities and exist in a manner that is related to actions and results through enjoyment, that is the conventional truth. The conventional truth is always related to actions and the results of actions, but not to the ultimate truth, which is reasonable. If there were actions and results of actions in the ultimate truth, then there would be no distinction in liberation from samsara. Therefore, there are no actions and results of actions in the ultimate truth. As it is said in the Sutra of the Heap of Jewels of the Noble One: "That which has no action and no result of action is the lineage of the noble ones. Whatever is the lineage of the noble ones, in that lineage, the body does not act, the speech does not act, and the mind does not act." Like what was said. The ultimate truth is that which is inexpressible, unknowable, indiscernible, not fully knowable. Not shown, not fully shown, not heard, not allowed to be heard, unknown, not discerned, not seen, not allowed to be seen, not imputed, not allowed to be held, not understood, not attained, not abandoned, not taken back, not collected, not eliminated, inexhaustible, without action, not fully pacified, not blamed, not stayed, not obtained, not not obtained, not happiness, not unhappiness, not pleasant, not unpleasant, not form, not formless, countless, innumerable, not worldly, not unworldly, not separated, not all afflictions, not completely purified, not conventional, not nirvana, not distinguished, not established, without movement, without pride, without moving, not manifestly assembled, not elaborated, separated from elaboration. Thus, from formlessness to the absence of inherent existence up to the all-knowingness. Like that and so on, in other immeasurable sutras, the two truths are also taught. In the Hearer's Vehicle, it is also said, I do not show that existing dharmas exist, nor do I show that non-existing dharmas do not exist.
