The dharma to be established is that the cause's agent is definitely not solely possessed of the attribute called Īśvara, and that the dharma to be established is measurable, because there are these two reasons, therefore it is called the subject of dharma. The cause's agent is definitely not solely possessed of the attribute called Īśvara, wherein, cause refers to the cause of generating samsara, namely the agent Īśvara. What is that cause? Therefore, it is said agent, what is considered by those who believe in Īśvara as the cause, the agent of all samsara, is Īśvara. To indicate this, it is said Īśvara, for the agent as cause, which name is called Īśvara, that is the agent as cause Īśvara. Solely possessed means, it is considered that the agent of samsara's cause is solely possessed of the attribute called Īśvara, solely means there is no other. Definitely not means, the cause Īśvara, which is generally considered by those who believe in Īśvara as the cause, its sole result is definitely not samsara, this is because samsara is not the result of Īśvara, this is the dharma to be established. Measurable is because, samsara is measurable, can be completely divided, and can be understood, therefore it is not the result of Īśvara, this is because samsara is not the result of Īśvara, this is the dharma to be established. For example, like Īśvara, for example, in your treatises it is also said that Īśvara is the object of measurement for meditators, those who keep their minds equally, and those who practice yoga. In my treatises, the meaning of the word Īśvara in conventional truth also has the meaning of measurable. Therefore, just as Īśvara is measurable, so Īśvara himself is not the agent of Īśvara himself, because it is contradictory for oneself to do to oneself. Similarly, Īśvara is also not the agent of samsara, therefore the agent of samsara's cause is definitely not solely possessed of the attribute called Īśvara. To indicate the result of valid cognition, in conventional truth also.

It is said, "Things do not arise from it." For the time being, let's look at it in the ultimate sense. Even in the conventional sense, things do not arise from Ishvara. This is the conclusion. Even if Ishvara is the cause, is it the nature of the self of the fruit? Or has it become something else? Or has it become both? If you imagine it to be any of these, since the refutation has already been stated, and the arising of existence and non-existence will also be refuted. In the ultimate sense, saying that things do not arise from Ishvara indicates this: Even if you assume that Ishvara itself is the cause, then is Ishvara the self-nature of the fruit, the three realms? Or has it become different from it? Or has it become both? If you examine it in this way, if it is the self-nature of the fruit, then the refutation of arising from the self has already been stated and refuted. If it has become different from it, then the refutation of arising from other has also been stated and refuted. If it is both, then because the refutation of arising from both has already been stated, In the ultimate sense, things do not arise from Ishvara. If beings are considered to arise from Ishvara as either existent or non-existent, then, if they are existent, what is the use of conditions? If they are non-existent, what will they become the conditions for? Because it will be refuted below, it shows that in the ultimate sense, things do not arise from Ishvara. Among them, from "Even if Ishvara is the cause," etc., it shows and only shows the clarification of the inference of refuting the cause that was previously stated. Among them, "Even if Ishvara is the cause" means that even according to the treatises of those who consider Ishvara to be the cause, Ishvara is ultimately the cause of things. "Is it the self-nature of the fruit?" means, is it assumed that the cause, Ishvara, is the self-nature of the fruit, the three realms? "Has it become something else?" means, or is it assumed that the cause, Ishvara, has become different from the fruit, the three realms? "What would happen if it became both?" means, or is it assumed that the cause, Ishvara, is both the self-nature of the fruit, the three realms, and has become something else.
