Lama Pawo. Some of them say that from this world to another world, a person will transfer, and that is what is meant by saying transfer. Among these, the eight, including the Mahasanghika mentioned earlier, and the Sthavira, Sarvastivada, Samantaka, Dharmottariya, and Kasyapiya mentioned later, all say that there is no self, because the self and what belongs to the self, as conceived by the heretics, are empty, and all dharmas are without self. The remaining five schools, including the Vatsiputriya, say that there is a pudgala, saying that the pudgala cannot be said to be the same as or different from the skandhas, is knowable by the six consciousnesses, is in samsara, and is fully manifest. These are the divisions of the eighteen schools. Others say that the basis should be stated as before. The fundamental divisions are three, namely the Sthavira, the Mahasanghika, and the Vibhajyavada. Among these, the Sthavira also has two types, namely the Sarvastivada and the Vatsiputriya. The Sarvastivada also has two types, namely the Sarvastivada and the Sautrantika. The Vatsiputriya also has four types, namely the Dharmaguptaka, the Dharmottariya, the Bhadrayaniya, and the Sammatīya. Thus, the Sthavira is divided into six types. The Mahasanghika also has eight types, namely the Mahasanghika, the Purvasaila, the Aparasaila, the Rajagiriya, the Haimavata, the Chaityaka, the Siddharthaka, and the Gokulika. Thus, these are the divisions of the Mahasanghika. The Vibhajyavada also has four types, namely the Hetuvada, the Kasyapiya, the Dharmagupta, and the Rakta vastra. Thus, these are the ways in which the noble schools are divided into eighteen types. Still others say this: From the time the Bhagavan passed into complete nirvana, when one hundred and thirty-seven years had passed, the great lotus called King Ashoka gathered in the city of Pataliputra, and so on...

Since there is no place to return to, when the cool object is obtained, the venerable Mahakashyapa, the venerable Mahāroma, the great benefactor, the teacher, Revata, and so on, each having attained the right view, the Arhat Sangha thus abiding, the evil demon becomes the enemy of all good people, holding the appearance of a monk, displaying various miraculous powers, causing great division in the Sangha with five matters, those called Sthavira Nāga, and those called दृढमति (dṛḍhamati, Firm Mind), the well-learned ones, praised the five matters. They proclaimed them, and debated with others, ignorance, doubt, thorough examination, and self-nourishment are the path, saying that this is the Buddha's teaching. Thus, they split into two factions and remained, namely the Sthavira school and the Mahasanghika school. Thus, for sixty-three years, the Sangha was divided and in a state of controversy. Then, two hundred years after that, Sthavira Gotraka compiled the teachings accurately. When he compiled them accurately, the Mahasanghika also became two kinds, namely the Sarvastivadins and the Vatsiputriyas. Among them, the root of the Sarvastivadins' vows is: The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are transcendent of the world, the Tathagatas do not have worldly dharmas. After all the Tathagatas turn the wheel of Dharma, speech does not intervene. All the Tathagatas' speech is to generate faith in the essence. The Tathagatas do not take form aggregates there. Bodhisattvas, when entering the womb, do not enter in a wriggling, flickering, or swaying manner, but become elephants, enter from the mother's body, and they will definitely appear themselves, and Bodhisattvas will not generate thoughts of desire. In the lower realms, they take birth by their own will, making sentient beings fully ripened. With one wisdom, they fully know the four truths. The six consciousnesses are both with attachment and without attachment. The eye sees forms.

We. Even Arhats perform what is taught by others. There is ignorance, doubt, and thorough investigation, and there is also the path to abandon suffering. There is also entering into samadhi. There is also abandoning impurity. It should be said that all bonds are completely abandoned by the very manifestation of the true precepts. Tathagatas do not have worldly right views. Since the mind is naturally luminous, it should not be said that latent tendencies are either in accordance with or not in accordance with the mind. Latent tendencies are one thing, and arising from others is another. The past and the future do not exist. Those who have entered the stream are those who have attained dhyana. Such statements are the vows of those with the same name. Furthermore, the distinctions of the Vātsīputrīyas are those called the Bahuśrutīyas and the Prajñaptivādins. Among them, the fundamental vow of the Bahuśrutīyas is that there is no discrimination on the path of definite liberation. The truth of suffering, the conventional truth, and the noble truth are truths. By seeing the suffering of formations, one enters into that which is truly faultless. It is not by seeing the suffering of suffering and the suffering of change. The Sangha is transcendent. Even Arhats perform what is taught by others. There is also the path of truly proclaiming. There is also entering into samadhi. These are the vows of the Bahuśrutīyas. Furthermore, the Prajñaptivādins say that there is also suffering without aggregates. There are also sense bases that are not fully complete. Formations are mutually designated. Furthermore, suffering is ultimately real. Mental factors are not the path. There is no untimely death. There is also no masculine function. All suffering arises from karma. Such are the fundamental vows of the Prajñaptivādins. Furthermore, among the distinctions of the Vātsīputrīyas, there is the Sthavira-caityavāda, which is a wandering ascetic named Mahādeva who, after ordaining, dwells on a mountain with a stupa.
