When the omniscient knowledge of all dharmas arises in a single moment of non-conceptual wisdom, nothing is seen. Because the Buddha's eyes are without obscuration and without hindrance, all objects of knowledge are seen directly, as if a myrobalan fruit were placed in the palm of the hand. This is because one has attained freedom from conceptualization and inversion. Furthermore, for example, due to falling asleep and the power of sleep, one sees sons and women, countless palaces, dwellings, and so on, but upon awakening, one does not see them. Similarly, worldly knowledge, when the eye of wisdom is opened, and one is separated from the sleep of ignorance, one does not see them upon awakening. That is to say, for example, in a dream, even though they do not exist, due to the power of sleep, one sees sons who are extremely pleasing, their heads adorned with beautiful hair, young men speaking with sweet voices, and women with hair the color of blue lotus and glossy, adorning their heads, eyes like captivating lotus petals, the radiance of their teeth bright and white, their faces clear and beautiful, their breasts round and high, their chests well-adorned with cleavage, their bodies and limbs soft and beautiful, full of youthful vigor, and countless palaces, beautifully decorated, with magnificent upper stories, beautifully arranged houses, intersecting beams, rows of pillars adorning the corridors, and so on, dwellings closely connected to beautiful groves, rising to upper stories and cities, and so on, such as gardens, groves of fruit trees and flowering trees, mountains with various kinds of wild animals roaming, countless birds emitting sweet sounds, beautiful forests stretching continuously, possessing high peaks, and kings and other armies, many chariots, proud elephants, fine horses, well-equipped soldiers, many banners erected, and so on, such things, when one sees these things, one will have a true understanding of everything. When one awakens, one sees nothing, because the things seen in the dream are not real. Similarly, a yogi also, due to the sleep of previous ignorance,

Now, when wisdom is completely obscured, mundane objects, colors, shapes, faces, feet, hands, behaviors, immeasurable appearances, realms, destinations, and birthplaces, beings differentiated by various differences, places, gods, humans, and so on, are seen, heard, taken, tasted, touched, and constantly thought about, approached, and understood. When the eye of wisdom opens, and one is freed from the sleep of ignorance, like waking up, when the stainless wisdom of the Sugata arises, at that time nothing is seen, because the nature of objects is unattainable. Again, for example, some people in the darkness where the thick clouds of night have obscured even the appearance of the stars, are terrified and panic-stricken, driven by untrue discriminations, seeing unreal beings conjured by spells, like those with disheveled hair, glaring red and yellow eyes, stretching out long, rough fingernails, making striking gestures, terrifying. When the orb of the sun rises, dispelling all darkness, when the directions and intermediate directions appear clearly, one is freed from fear and dread, and sees no unreal beings. Similarly, here, sentient beings in the night of existence, in the darkness where the light of knowledge is obscured by the darkness of ignorance, those whose wisdom is disturbed by untrue discriminations see inner and outer objects, which are not real, but are the nature of places and those with places, existing definitively, terrifying. Therefore, when the sun of the true wisdom of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness arises, dispelling all the habits of ignorance and the connecting afflictions, mind and mental events, along with their objects, are not seen as objects or natures, and are not fixated upon. When the unsurpassed wisdom arises, it is because great liberation is attained. To explain that meaning, it is elucidated with two verses: For example, in the darkness of night, unreal beings are seen.
