Just as a barley seed does not produce a rice sprout, and a rice seed does not produce a barley sprout. Furthermore: Suffering does not wish to arise from its own continuum, because there are no sentient beings, etc., because there is no substance, and because there is no distinction, therefore suffering has no continuum. This means that even if suffering is indeed not made by anyone, if one thinks that suffering arises from one's own continuum, then since that continuum is empty of sentient beings, etc., whose would that suffering be? Mind and mental factors are also, if the continuum related to the objects of cause and effect is called a continuum, then that continuum is also, because when the previous moment ceases, the later moment arises, just like the arising and ceasing of the light of a lamp, or like the arising and disappearing of waves from water, because there is no substance that is definitely established, and also because there is no distinction, that is, for suffering and the one who has suffering, because there is no distinction such as "this continuum has this suffering," so in the ultimate truth, there is no suffering in the continuum either. Therefore, completely knowing that suffering is unborn is the fruit of the Dharma teaching, and not being unborn is not the fruit. If other schools refute that the aggregates such as the eye are indeed endowed with arising, because they are called by the name of sentient beings, like the Buddha. Then, one should say to them like this: If the aggregates such as the eye, are indeed born, because they are called by the name of sentient beings, if they are proven like the Buddha, then this is just repeating the previous view. The answer to this is: Because the Buddha is not a phenomenon of birth, therefore he does not exist, likewise, he is not born, but appears like me, like an illusion. This is to show that all dharmas are unborn, therefore the Tathagata is also unborn, so your analogy is not valid. Therefore, it can be said that the Tathagata also does not exist in the ultimate truth, because it cannot be determined whether he is one with or different from the body, like me and sentient beings and persons, etc. Then what

If someone asks: Didn't you say, 'The only existence arises when it arises'? Because it arises from the collection of causes and conditions, it appears as a nature that is not truly existent. Buddhas also appear like illusions through the nature of names, and this is accepted. Because it is conventional truth, in the expressions of the world, names such as 'Once-returner,' 'Non-returner,' 'Arhat,' 'Pratyekabuddha,' 'Bodhisattva,' and 'Buddha' are usually established, but from the ultimate truth, it is not so. This needs to be proven by scriptural and logical proofs: If form were truly existent, then it would not be for the sake of realizing Buddhahood, just like a Chakravartin, and consciousness is not either, just like an optical illusion, appearing as self and other. It means that if someone thinks that the form body adorned with excellent marks and signs is the Buddha, or thinks that consciousness, which appears as the nature of both self and object, is the Buddha, then neither of these is truly existent. Because the Chakravartin also has excellent marks and signs, and the consciousness of an optical illusion also exists in the aspect of non-discrimination. Similarly, the aggregates, the form-Buddha, are not, because they want to be included by the aggregates. Because it is subject to arising and ceasing, and is knowable, so it is like form. It means that the Bhagavan has birth at the time of birth, and cessation at the time of Nirvana, and there are moments of arising and ceasing in the momentary continuum, and because it is the object of the eye, etc., it is knowable, and yogis can also see it through practice. The body is not the Buddha, because there is the fault of the body's destruction, and there are no other characteristics, just like the self, how could it exist? It means that the aggregates themselves are not the Buddha, because when the aggregates are destroyed, the Buddha will also be destroyed, just as when the lamp goes out, the light will also go out. Outside of the aggregates, there is also no Buddha, because outside of the characteristics of the aggregates, there is nothing that can be pointed out, just like the self, etc. Unspeakable, does not admit substantial existence.
