Brothers born from similar causes and conditions become different due to distinctions such as ethics, patience, and truth. Therefore, wherever they have become accustomed to truth and generosity, that is the previous other world. The cause of births is merely a common cause and condition, not merely a temporary connection, because brothers differ in body, senses, intelligence, and so on, just like sprouts of rice and barley. It is sufficient to mention in passing that things do not arise from causelessness. Commentary on the Heart of the Middle Way, The Blazing Intellect, Chapter Nine. Those who believe that Ishvara is the cause, this being does not have consciousness, because I do not have autonomy over my own happiness and suffering. Even if Ishvara gives it, it will only become going to a cliff or ascending to higher realms. Because the scripture says that the cause of all beings' birth is Ishvara, it is said for those people: Ishvara is not the creator of the world, because it is the cause of joy for some, for example, Ishvara is the creator of joy, but the creator is not like Ishvara. Or, it is not considered that Ishvara is the cause of everything, because it is unborn and without cause, for example, like a flower in the sky, it is not considered the cause of everything. Because that is unborn and without cause, just like a flower in the sky, existence itself is also impossible, let alone being the cause of beings, this is the summary. Or, the cause of all these beings is definitely not Ishvara, because it has consciousness, for example, the herdsman is not the cause of the cow's walking. This is to negate that the cause of beings is Ishvara. If someone thinks that the reason that it has consciousness is not established, because Ishvara is the only one, and the herdsmen and others are many, therefore it is established that the herdsmen and others have consciousness.

Even if it is completed, it is not the creator of all beings. If it is thought that Ishvara, like a king, is the creator who makes all the worlds abide, then it is said: Ishvara alone does not exist. Because things arise from aggregation. A single creator also does not exist. Therefore, it is not uncertain. This is because all things arise from the aggregation of causes and conditions, so a single creator is unreasonable. If being alone has the power of a creator, then what is the use of examining many causes and conditions? In the world, a single creator as the cause of things does not exist, so how can my argument become uncertain? If it is thought that the eyes, etc., possess Ishvara, because they are many, just as there are many servants in the world, but only one master. If this is thought, then it is said: If the eyes, etc., possess Ishvara, and because they are many, like servants, then the unborn Ishvara cannot be established. Ishvara will become the opposite of Ishvara. This is because, if some born ones, such as kings, also become the single Ishvara, then Ishvara, because it is unborn, will also not be single. Like the son of a barren woman, Ishvara will become the non-Ishvara, the opposite of Ishvara. If it is thought to possess a creator, because of arrangement, like pots, etc. If the creator for whom no distinction is made, then one is proving what is already established. This is because, if the eyes, etc., are arranged by causes and conditions, and I am not arranged by anyone, therefore the eyes, etc., possess a creator, because they are arranged, like pots, etc. In response to this, it is said: If the eyes, etc., the creator is the four great elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, or what is transformed from the four great elements, or any of the parents, etc., without pointing out the difference, and it is thought to possess a creator, then one is proving what is already established. Because for us, it is also established in this way. If one distinguishes by the differences of permanent, one, subtle, etc., then you have no example.
