For example, like milk that is an illusion. If one thinks that the nature of unapprehended things also exists, because the five aggregates of consciousness are focused on the place of accumulation, even if they do not conceptually apprehend together, the object of their focus exists. Then, because they are made and destroyed, like illusory milk, will the apprehended things become empty? If one thinks that the existence of unapprehended things is uncertain, therefore it is said: "Because it is prevented as being equal to establishment, there is no doubt about the other." Here, "the other" refers to the unapprehended things that are different from the apprehended nature of things. Therefore, it will not become uncertain. Why? Because establishing the nature of apprehension is prevented, and similarly, unapprehended things are also prevented, so the eyes and so on are also empty by the unapprehended nature, because they are made and destroyed, just like mere illusion. Because there is also a non-apprehended aspect in illusion. If so, what is the non-apprehended aspect of illusion, would that not become non-emptiness? To prevent this, it is said: "The nature of illusion, even unapprehended, is also considered to be completely reversed, because it is the cause of some people's desire, just like apprehension itself." It means that the forms and so on conjured by the illusionist are also the cause of desire and so on for some who are not skilled. Just as the apprehended nature of illusion is reversed, so too, because it is unapprehended, the nature is also completely reversed. If so, there is no unapprehended nature in illusion, so your analogy is not established. Therefore, it is said: "Because the part that is famous is established, my analogy is not non-existent." It means that for it, too, because the part that is known to exist in others is taken as an analogy, it is established, therefore my analogy is not non-existent. Or, what is the use of analyzing the nature of apprehension and non-apprehension? Because these things are not inherently existent in any way, this is merely established by valid cognition.

Therefore. Or, eyes, etc., are truly empty of their own nature. Because they are made, because they are perishable, like a Buddha manifested by a demon. For example, in order to prove that an arhat is hidden in the house of the hero of the householder, the demon manifests the body of the Buddha Bhagavan, with infinite rays of light, eyes as wide and blue as lotus petals, a head adorned with a perfect topknot, and a voice as pleasant as a kalaviṅka. The limbs and body are extremely distinct. Such a manifested body captivates the mind and eyes, like a wonderful sight in the heavenly realm, and is fully visible. However, because it is made and because it is subject to destruction, its own nature is unattainable. Likewise, eyes, etc., are also of the nature of arising from causes and conditions. Although they appear, they have no own nature, and therefore they deceive the unwise. If you ask: Are not the natures of things, such as hardness, wetness, heat, and fluidity, truly manifest? The answer is: These statements exist only in the manner of conventional truth, relying on the nature of excluding others, and are not ultimate truth. Why? The reality of things, in truth, that thing does not exist. Because it is made, like the heat and stability of water. That is, the nature of a thing that others distinguish, in truth, that nature does not exist, because it is made. For example, water is sometimes called cold, sometimes called hot, and sometimes called stable, but it cannot be regarded as its constant nature. Therefore, in this way, by the power of the arguments shown above, things should not arise from their own nature, and therefore do not arise as other things, just as a cow is not seen to turn into a donkey. For example, a cow with characteristics such as a tail, mane, hump, hoof, and horns will not turn into a donkey that rolls in an ash pit, has a smoky color, a loud voice, a single hoof, and long ears.
