What otherness is desired from the entity of the nature of the fruit? For example, one would not want to designate a horse's horn as other than an ungrown cow's horn and mountain peak, just like that. Furthermore: "The other conditions, such as the eye, In ultimate truth, are not the cause Of the consciousness of the eye, etc., Because they are other, like plastering mud, etc." This means that if everything that is other had the power to produce, just like something similar that is other, the eye, etc., would only temporarily produce eye consciousness, etc., and would not manifest pottery, vases, and blankets, etc. Plastering mud, threads, and clay, etc., only temporarily manifest pottery and blankets, vases, etc., but do not produce eye consciousness, etc. For those who are certain that causes and conditions are separate, one must explain the difference in reasoning as to what caused them. Another formulation: "The intellect of form, etc., Is not the cause of the eye, etc., which is to be expressed, Because it is other, because it did not exist before, Like vases, blankets, etc." This means that the intellect of form, etc., which is the collection of the six consciousnesses, is not the cause of the eye, etc., which is intended to be expressed, because it is other and because it did not exist before, like vases and blankets, etc. "To be expressed" means what is intended to be expressed, which is the eye, etc. The eye, etc., includes the eye, form, light, space, attention, and other things like the ear. "Not the cause" means that for the intellect of form, etc., whatever cause is intended to be expressed, which is the eye, etc., is posited as having it, and it is denied that those are its causes. Furthermore, if a thing itself is born, then the term "other" can be applied. Since the fruit is unborn, the notion that the cause is other than the fruit is merely an imputation. Therefore, it is said: "The otherness of the unborn, Is conventional, therefore not ultimate. Furthermore, even the nature of birth, Is not reasonable to hold." Furthermore, among those who assert birth, some believe that the fruit exists in the cause.

It is like that. I think that it is not appropriate to distinguish whether it is born or unborn. Some people think that the unborn can be manifested through causes and conditions. Some people think that the process of being born is the nature of both (born and unborn). Some people think that it is unspeakable, because it is not born, because it has not obtained its own entity; nor is it unborn, because the action is happening. To this, there is an explanation: For the case where the born is unspeakable, birth will become meaningless. That is, if the result already exists in the cause, and it should not be distinguished, then, since it is born, for the born, birth will also become meaningless. If it is not possible to distinguish when it is unborn, then even if it is born, it cannot be distinguished as the nature of the result. For those who think that the result is unborn, it is also said: For the unborn, there is no birth, because the unborn is like the sky. For those who think that they are being born, the refutation and examination are the same. That is, for the case of being born, for the part that is born, birth is also meaningless; for the part that is not born, because it does not exist, there is no birth like flowers in the sky and so on. The unspeakable is also non-existent, because the unspeakable is like other things. Here, the phrase "like other things" covers unspeakable children of the womb, such as blue-green and white edges. Here it says: Things are only born, because they are considered to be the nature of examination. Therefore, for them, there is the nature of separate examination through consciousness, is it? For those, it is explained: Or, eyes, etc., are empty by the very nature of examination, because they are made and destroyed, like illusory milk. That is, eyes, etc., in the ultimate truth, for things such as form, etc., whatever is considered to be blue and yellow, etc., is empty, because it is made and destroyed, like words.
