And happiness, and accomplishment, and those who desire happiness think like this: How can I, having crossed over, help beings who have not crossed over to cross over? How can I, having been liberated, liberate beings who have not been liberated? How can I, having breathed freely, help beings who have not breathed freely to breathe freely? How can I, having completely passed beyond sorrow, help beings who have not completely passed beyond sorrow to pass beyond sorrow? Like this, the realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds can be measured by the tip of a hair, and the great ocean can be measured by dividing a hair into a hundred parts and taking one-tenth of it. The measure of the merit of those who generate the mind of enlightenment in this way is immeasurable. Why is that? Because those who generate the mind of enlightenment, if they can accomplish these things and rejoice in all the Bodhisattvas, must in any case achieve the absence of the concept of duality, the absence of the concept of non-duality, not being the mind, not being other than the mind, thereby completely guiding beings to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, then these beings can destroy the abode of the demons. It is like what was said. Here it is said: Those who have obtained the complete benefit for themselves and have completely abandoned the parts of afflictions, as just said, are capable. When those who have generated all their strength are themselves being harmed by cyclic existence and the afflictions that depend on cyclic existence, how can they endure to liberate others, free others, cause others to attain enlightenment, and cause others to be liberated from sorrow? Therefore, in order to answer this question, first, great compassion must be sent forth. Wise people who are happy in mind with the joy that arises from the work of benefiting others will not be harmed by cyclic existence, which is like a blazing sword. It is said: By benefiting the world through generosity, pleasing speech, beneficial actions, and consistency, etc., therefore, wise people will not be harmed by the desire for cyclic existence, which is like a blazing sword, and by the form and formless realms. Why is that? Because these people are from benefiting others

The joy that arises makes the body and mind happy, and Bodhi also desires only for the benefit of others, and in order to be close to existence, one does not obviously accumulate karma, and in order to be free from the existence of existence, those will not cause harm. The explanation of great compassion, called generating the mind to act for the benefit of all sentient beings, the first explanation is finished. Or it will not cause harm in this way: not engaging in unchaste conduct, in order to cut off all the doors of evil destinies. Those are that oneself practices the ten virtuous paths even more, there is no harm, and also makes other beings practice those, in order to cut off all the doors of evil destinies and bad paths, opening the doors of good destinies, making sentient beings abide in the paths of gods and humans. Therefore, the explanation of great compassion, called the generation of the mind that completely protects from evil destinies, the second teaching is finished. It is said thus: Because oneself enters the wrong path, and makes other beings abide in the right path, it is unreasonable and untimely. Alas! I must also practice these ten virtues even more, and also make other beings abide in those, as it is said. How can one not be harmed by the afflictions that depend on existence? Therefore, practicing the view of emptiness, in order to destroy the entry of afflictions. It is said thus, because in the collection of causes and conditions, and in the separate objects, and in destruction, one does not observe things. Where will greed and hatred and ignorance arise? Thus, the afflictions that depend on existence, having destroyed the power of afflictions, will also not cause harm. However, Bodhisattvas mostly appear to travel in all paths, and also are born in those, how can they not be harmed by the suffering corresponding to their share? Therefore, the wise person performs meritorious deeds, seeing the six realms as gardens and festivals, seeing the prison of existence, one will not feel fear. It is said thus, the wise person makes aspirations for the benefit of others, an immeasurable collection of merit
