Like a mind colored by paint on crystal. This example, which places the thoughts of others nearby, shows emptiness through what needs to be proven. For example, in the world, when a crystal gem encounters the condition of changing color, it completely transforms into its own nature, which is called "coloring," so its mind is also considered to be merely near coloring. From a rational point of view, if the crystal gem itself is not colored, how can its mind become colored? Similarly, the moment of consciousness, when it first encounters an object, is merely considered to be completely transformed into a state of coloring, but it is not coloring itself, because it is free from the forms of discrimination and recollection. When the second moment of consciousness arises, which is clearly proven by it, the object is no longer nearby. The experience of the first moment of consciousness, because it is not something that can be established with words, it also does not have an object. Therefore, because there is no coloring. Desire and discrimination are all conventional. Like desire, all phenomena are also thus. One should know according to what is appropriate. If a thing depends on substance, It is not different from that substance. This refers to the fact that here, the thing that causes coloring is desire. If this thing depends on substance, such as the color of cloth and the mold on rice, then this thing cannot be separated from that substance and distinguished, just as color does not exist if cloth is separated from it, and mold does not exist if rice is separated from it. Therefore, it is difficult to establish the statement "this mind is colored" with this desire, so the discrimination of desire is conventional. Therefore, just like desire, The mind should not have attachment. This refers to the fact that desire and coloring are inseparable, because it is contradictory to act on one's own nature, this is my thought. The fact that these two are inseparable is proven by this measure: desire cannot be separated from coloring, because coloring has no quantity to be taken. Like coloring itself, it refers to the fact that desire does not exist independently of coloring, and coloring does not exist independently of desire.

It does not exist elsewhere, for example, just like attachment itself. Because desire and attachment are not different entities. Even if they are different, it is like not being attached to others. It is said: Some people think that desire is separate from attachment, for example, like applying orpiment and saffron etc. on clothes, the mind of desire arises for pleasant colors, beautiful sounds, fragrant smells, sweet tastes, soft touches etc. For this view, it is also the same as being separate. Similarly, forms etc. cause the mind to be attached, but forms etc. themselves do not become attached to each other, and attachment does not arise for unpleasant objects, for this, the difference in reasons must be correctly explained. Furthermore, if there is a thing called desire existing separately from the mind, and it becomes attachment itself, then, therefore it is said: The mind of discriminating consciousness of things, does not exist outside of desire, because the object etc. are the same, and there is no other separate cause. It is said: The nature of discriminating consciousness is to separately recognize forms etc. There is no experience of desire separate from the discriminating consciousness that separately recognizes each thing, because there is no other object existing outside of forms etc., and there is no other cause that separates them. Therefore it is said: Aggregate one self-nature, dependent on birth to have aggregate, wanting to explain the term, like a tree with blooming flowers. It is said: Our school is in the manner of the true conventional truth, depending on obtaining one self-nature of the aggregate parts of desire etc., from the mind and the previous mind, those who have aggregates, for these, wanting to explain the term called desire etc. For example, for a tree with aggregate parts such as roots, sprouts, branches, buds, leaves, flowers, fruits etc., depending on seeing any one of the parts of flowers or fruits becoming abundant, it is said that the tree is blooming, or the tree is bearing fruit, just like that establishing the term.
