It should be understood appropriately with undefiled wisdom. Having examined the form aggregate for a while, the feeling aggregate should also be examined. If feeling is truly in the ultimate sense, it should not be the nature of experiencing, because it is similar to consciousness, like other mental events besides it. This means that opponents believe that the characteristic of feeling is the experience of contact, which is the combination of sense faculty, object, and consciousness, and they also believe that there are three types of feeling based on the difference in experience. If that feeling is truly in the ultimate sense, then it should not be the nature of experiencing, because it is similar to consciousness, like other mental events besides it. This is established by valid cognition. This is not unreasonable, because in the state of entering the four dhyanas, happiness and suffering are also temporarily abandoned. In the state of nirvana where all feelings cease, what need is there to say more? As it is said, "That samadhi is immeasurable feeling and without the seed of consciousness." Thus it is said. In order to refute the differences of feeling, happiness is not desired to benefit, because it arises from contact, like other feelings. Suffering is not the nature of harm, it should be known by showing reason. Thus it is said that happiness is the nature of benefiting, suffering is the nature of harming, and neither suffering nor happiness is the nature of both. Those who say so, it is not their nature, because it arises from contact, like other feelings besides it. Why? Because there is no one who is only happy, and there is no one who is only suffering, and the nature of both does not appear anywhere. If you ask, isn't the exhaustion of craving permanent happiness? Answer: In that state, it is without discrimination, separated from all experiences, and the nature of anything cannot be labeled. To label happiness there is no fault, because it is separated from all the suffering of samsara. Neither suffering nor happiness is allowed, because the fruit is craving, like others. Thus it is said that feeling that is neither suffering nor happiness is also not its nature.

does not want to be, because its fruit is craving, so its karma is like others, thus a close example is given. Whoever's fruit is craving, that person has craving, because the fruit of all feelings is craving. If it is said that mind exists in the manner of mind and mental factors, so feelings must also exist. Therefore, it is said, "The nature of consciousness is also the same, because it is intended to speak of its negation." Because it is also intended to speak of negating the nature of consciousness below, the three feelings are not the ultimate truth. When mind is negated, the negation of mental factors is also included, just as when the enemy king is defeated, his army is also clearly defeated. Perception and formation, these two, are also declared in the same way. The wise should understand with an upright mind, as appropriate. It is said that the aggregates of perception and formation should also be known to be declared in the same way as the negation of feeling. How is it? Perception is also without self-nature, because it operates in the manner of complete determination, like the perception of mirages and cities, and gardens. Similarly, the two kinds of formations, corresponding and non-corresponding, are also not the ultimate truth, because they are of the nature of accumulation, like a collection of water and wood. If consciousness is the ultimate truth, then it is not the self-nature of individually distinguishing objects, because it has an object, like perception, or because it is perishable, like a lamp. Object, it is said that because it is truly existent, it is an object, or because the dharmas of mind and mental factors exist here, it is an object, such as form, etc. Individually distinguishing means fully understanding one's own nature in a non-discriminating way. Consciousness is not its nature. In order to show that like negating the aggregates, the elements and sources are also the same. The five aggregates are analyzed in this way.

In that teaching spoken by him, the aggregates are called realms, and the sources should also be known. The so-called realms are the eighteen realms, namely the six faculties, the six objects, and the six consciousnesses. The sources are the twelve sources, namely the distinctions between the six faculties such as the eye and the six objects such as form. Since these are also of the nature of aggregates, as previously stated, there is no object of focus apart from the collection. However, only things that are conventionally established exist, as the Sugata said: The three realms are merely imputed, they are not the nature of things. On what is imputed, evil conceptualizations make distinctions, as it is said. And also as it is said: Form is like a mass of foam, feeling is like bubbles, perception is like a mirage, formations are like a plantain tree, consciousness is like an illusion, thus he saw and declared. So it is said. Here it is said, the aggregates, sources, and realms, in the ultimate sense, are only self-existent, because they possess the characteristics of conditioned phenomena such as arising. Here, whatever is non-existent does not possess the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, like a flower in the sky. The aggregates, sources, and realms possess the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, namely, monks, these three are the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, that is, arising, abiding, and ceasing, as it is said. Therefore, are the conditioned aggregates, sources, and realms only self-existent? Here it is said, how are those such as arising conditioned? Or are they unconditioned? If they are conditioned, then there is no example of an arising, abiding, or ceasing that is other than the aggregates, realms, and sources. The arising of arising, the abiding of abiding, the meaning of the ceasing of ceasing is also slander, arising is not a characteristic of all conditioned phenomena, because it is a producer, just as a father is not a characteristic of a son. The abiding is also not a characteristic of abiding, like a son
