Having been born, they mix it into their own sect, and also cling to the idea that this sect is ours. This indicates that it is a conceptualization of mixed sects, because it has the fault of contradicting what came before and after. Therefore, who would believe in such a sect that contradicts what came before and after? Because the kinds are extremely different, it is like comparing a precious jewel to iron. If someone tries very hard to compare the nature of iron to a precious jewel, it is impossible, because it cannot withstand burning, grinding, polishing, and so on. Because it has become extremely different, who among the wise who are skilled in discerning jewels would develop the perception of it as a jewel? Similarly, the nature of self, permanence, omnipresence, and oneness, which are the opposite of selflessness, impermanence, non-omnipresence, and multiplicity, are contradictory. Because it has become an extremely different form, who among the wise who are skilled in discerning suchness would develop the perception of it as suchness? Therefore, this is like showing the tail of a mountain antelope and selling horse meat. If someone says, for those who proclaim the Middle Way, doesn't it create a great contradiction to proclaim self and no-self, emptiness and other-emptiness, birth and no-birth, things and no-things? The answer to this is: Like this, in this sect, some are for guiding, and some are for dispelling attachment, so they are explained in various ways. In order to dispel those who have harmed their minds with views that deny cause and effect, and who proclaim non-existence, the Blessed One taught the existence of self, in order to guide them. In order to dispel those who cling to the idea of self, and who are tormented by clinging to self, he taught no-self, in order to show that in conventional truth, one should abandon attachment to them. In ultimate truth, it is neither self nor no-self, this is taught to those who have patience for the profound and vast Dharma. Thus, the Blessed One

As it is shown in various scriptures, it is shown in accordance with the nature of conventional truth and ultimate truth, so there is no contradiction. What is it like? Things are unborn, because their nature is uncreated. Because there is no decay in this, it is also called self. Since existence and non-existence are not born from self, other, both, and without cause, I have already established that things are unborn. That is the uncreated nature of things, which is imperishable, so that becomes the self of all things. Different things are also the same because there is no difference. Because the essence is one, it is one. Because all pervasive things are all dharmas, it is also eternal because it does not decay. That is the nature of unborn, so it is self. Although the aggregates, elements, and sources have become different, they are one because there is no difference. All things are without characteristics and have the nature of holding their own characteristics, so they are all pervasive. This is imperishable because it is unborn, so it is eternal. Because it is unborn, it is unborn. Because of that nature, there is no old age and death, so there is no old age and death. The unborn is not changeable, so it is unchangeable. Because it reaches the ultimate, it is supreme. Because of being unborn, it is unborn. Because of the nature of being unborn, there is no old age and death, so there is no old age and death. The unborn is not changeable, so it is unchangeable. There is no other nature superior to it, so it is considered supreme. Not form, sound, smell, etc., not earth, fire, water, river, not sky, moon, sun, not the nature of mind and consciousness. Since it has not become the object of all things, it is the nature of non-things, so it has not become the nature of the object. Hardness and moisture, warmth and movement, are also not the nature of the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, so it is not its nature. Because it is without substance, there is no distinction in anything, and it is not the nature of appearance, so it is not sky, rabbit, sun, etc. Because it can think, it is mind, and because it has the nature of knowing things very well, it is consciousness, that is, past and
