Just as fields change, so too, a person will not fail to experience the results of virtue and non-virtue. I will experience the results of virtue and non-virtue. Therefore, there will be the faults of impermanence and non-pervasiveness, just as a farmer encounters thieves and the like. Furthermore, what you say, such as "one, pervasive, constant," is also not true. Because, without relying on external objects, a single nature is unreasonable. If it is said to possess oneness, then it does not possess it with itself. The so-called non-dual oneness is like saying, "The lord of men is the only one" among many poor people, relying on many external people. And since I exist in all places, internal and external, relying on what does it become one? If it is said again that it is one because it possesses the number one itself, then a "one" other than myself does not exist. Therefore, how can it possess itself? Just as a finger cannot touch its own fingertip with itself. Or, if it is said that the nature of object and subject is nominally established as many, and by eliminating these, I am declared to be one, then this is also unreasonable. If eliminating the nominally established many is oneness, then because the nominal is conventional truth, therefore, this one is not ultimate truth. Because there is no nature of oneness, the so-called one is nominal. Whatever is nominal is not the ultimate truth of oneness, because the nominal is conventional truth. If it is said again that by the nature of permanence and oneness, the ultimate truth exists, if the application of words and minds to one, etc., is meaningful, then there is no fault. If the words that express permanence and oneness, etc., and the application of words and minds that understand permanence and oneness, etc., if these do not exist, because there is no other thing, it is not uncertain, because the mind and what is understood are one. This system is flawed.

Therefore, it is so. When conceptualizing about one, etc., how is this non-conceptualization? For the object of conceptualization, the establishment of words is not prohibited. If the mind conceptualizes about the nature of this as permanent, etc., then this very nature has no conceptualization about anything. Therefore, is this the nature of non-conceptualization? This is not true, because there is no difference between the mind and the self. Wherever there is an establishment of conceptualization, there is also an establishment of the self. Therefore, how can it be that the mind is not an object and speech is not a field of activity? Unspeakable, without awareness, the previously shown reasoning is false. Just as the mind closely grasps a lump of flesh and establishes the speech as 'given by the gods,' similarly, the very nature of one, etc., becoming the object of the mind is also the object of the establishment of words for one, etc. Therefore, it is not established as without speech and without conceptualization. This, with the previously stated reasoning, is the nature of untruth, like a rabbit's horn, it does not exist. If Buddhists also do not accept that the ultimate truth is beyond the realm of speech and mind, then if it is true, the reasoning is this: Since the knowable is not established from the beginning, it should not be the object of the mind. Because it is separate from the object of the mind, it is also separate from the object of speech. In the relative truth, the knowable, which is the object of the six consciousnesses, is imputed. However, in the ultimate truth, the imputed is not established in any way. Therefore, the mind does not arise in that object, so it is not the field of activity of the mind. Because it is separate from the field of activity of the mind, since there is no basis, it should not be established. Therefore, in the ultimate truth, it is not the field of activity of speech. The Tathagata is not false. After knowing this principle to be good, therefore, desire arises in the non-Buddhists, and they make it their own. Occasionally, one in a hundred, a Tathagata appears in the world, and he also teaches well the sutras and vinaya that are not false. After showing complete nirvana, that principle is adopted by those non-Buddhists.
