It is reasonable to indicate that the cutting off of all attachments, such as attachment, anger, pride, ignorance, and views, is indicated by the term "liberation." It is reasonable to say that the arising of the later moment of mind, which is transformed from the previous moment of mind and mental aggregates, which are of the nature of arising and ceasing, is called liberation. Furthermore, it is difficult to express all these things about the self, which is completely imputed by other non-Buddhists, and is like the sky. If there is attachment to the self, then one would also wish for a sky flower to be the self. Even if snow and hail fall, a very strong wind rises, a great fire blazes, the sun's rays are very hot, a great wind rises from the four directions and stirs, covered by a great mass of clouds, and a terrifying great thunder roars, and a chain of lightning appears, it does not harm the sky, nor does it generate any afflictions. Being free from those harms as described above is also not a transformation from the characteristic of cowardice to another characteristic. Similarly, the self does not arise with differences in the past and future times. Even when attachment, anger, and pride arise, there is no change. Even when afflictions are pacified, there is no transformation from the previous moment to another nature. Therefore, bondage and liberation, etc., cannot be expressed even with great suffering. Therefore, this is also not an object of focus as a basis for bondage and liberation, etc. If, from beginningless time, you are strongly attached to the self due to the power of clinging to the habit of self-grasping, then the sky flower also has such a characteristic, so it will also become the self, because the dharma to be proven and the dharma of the example have the same characteristic, this is what should be thought about. Furthermore, if the self is by nature, if it is considered to be the essence of awareness, because it depends on the agent, etc., that is not reasonable. If this self is originally the essence of awareness, why does it depend on the agents such as the eye?

It is like that. Furthermore, if it is said that without eyes etc., this wisdom cannot be seen, then because one cannot see anything other than the agent etc., the uniqueness will be lost, which contradicts the established tenet. Like this, furthermore: Because there are knowables such as self, consciousness will not revert, just like a lamp that has finished its work, it is also seen to arise from its own continuum. If it is said that after the work is done, consciousness will no longer enter the object, just as a lamp held up to clearly see what one wants to see, after seeing the object, will no longer enter, then this is a dissimilar analogy. Just as a lamp, after finishing its work, if its own causes such as oil and wick continue to arise without interruption, it will not revert. Similarly, even if the work is done, because it is seen that consciousness of self pervades all liberation, it will not revert, this is not reasonable that it does not enter even at the time of liberation like a lamp. Therefore, even if the eye of wisdom sees the person, it will not generate liberation, because of what reason? As long as there is consciousness arising in the mind, the seeds etc. will change, as long as the sound exists, the sound image will appear. Without an agent, how does consciousness know samsara? Because it is not universally present, from where and how is there bondage and liberation? Just as as long as there is the entry of sound, the sound image will also appear, if there is no entry of sound, the sound image will not appear either. Similarly, if there is no knowable, consciousness will not arise either, as long as the mind and mental factors enter focusing on the self, the seeds etc. will change, because of what reason? It is related to what is called samsara. Furthermore, at the time of liberation of the person, because it is free from dependence on the agent, how does consciousness arise? Furthermore, this person is constant at all times, because it is unique, just like space, how is it reasonable for this person to be bound and liberated? Furthermore, the person is not different from the meaning of all things, because
