If the ultimate particle and space are one, then a part of the ultimate particle and a part of space, because they are mutually different, both are also with parts, therefore they will become impermanent. Because they can be distinguished, like a pot. If it is said that there is no space inside the ultimate particle, then the ultimate particle will also become impermanent, and space will also become not all-pervasive. Therefore, either admit that space is not all-pervasive, or admit that the ultimate particle has distinguishable parts. Therefore, both of these statements have faults. Furthermore, if it is the same as space because it is all-pervasive, then when it combines with the body, does it combine with one direction? Or with all? If it combines with one direction, then because it has direction and parts, the self will become impermanent and with parts, like a pot. If it is said that I combine with all, then when combining and contacting with one body, other bodies will not be obtained. And because it is all-pervasive, all sentient beings will simultaneously experience happiness and suffering. That is to say, the sentient beings of hell will also experience the happiness of heaven, and the sentient beings of heaven will also experience the suffering of hell. If one is bound, all will be bound, and if one is liberated, all sentient beings will be liberated. Other faults include: if consciousness arises and is accompanied by change, then the self you speak of will decay. If it is unchanging, then it is not consciousness. How can consciousness and non-consciousness be compatible? Whenever the self and consciousness combine, will a complete change occur at that time? Or not? If this consciousness will arise temporarily, then if it is a complete change, because it is the nature of complete change, like burning etc., it must be impermanent. If it is said that change is not dependent, then how can this be known? Because there is no change, like space. If it is a nature without prior awareness, and later becomes a nature of awareness, then because the previous nature is completely abandoned, it must be impermanent.

will be completely transformed. If it is always constant, then it is also conceptualization, and also non-conceptualization, how can that be? If this is going to be combined with mind, then will it become the essence of mind? Or not. If, because it is constant, it is not the essence of mind, then even when the knowledge of being combined with mind arises, I am still ignorant, because it will not change from the previous essence. If, when combined with mind, it also becomes the essence of mind, then, because the essence of happiness and suffering are different, like गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Devanagari: गुण, Romanized Sanskrit: guṇa, literal meaning: गुण), it will also have the faults of impermanence and so on. If the self and mind are combined, because there is mind, like a stick and a stick-holder, then it should be said that because the combination has been negated, the connection with it is also unreasonable. Because I have refuted the combination here, when the combination does not exist, the connection between them will also not exist. For example, the self is constant, and the mind is impermanent, because constant and impermanent are different, like fire and cold, there is no connection. Just as the combination with mind has been negated, in order to negate the meaning of the words of गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Devanagari: गुण, Romanized Sanskrit: guṇa, literal meaning: गुण), it is said: happiness and suffering, effort and desire, hatred and so on are also the same principle. For example, the constant self does not rely on happiness, because there is a cause, like a pot. Or, the गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Devanagari: गुण, Romanized Sanskrit: guṇa, literal meaning: गुण) of the self is not considered to be happiness, because there is arising, like form and so on, just as one does not want its गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Devanagari: गुण, Romanized Sanskrit: guṇa, literal meaning: गुण). Or, these combinations are not considered to exist in the self. Like this, it should be applied to suffering and so on as well. Similarly, those thoughts of "I exist" that are said to exist, it is said that they will arise in connection with the great பொது (Tibetan: སྤྱི་ཆེན་པོ།, Devanagari: , Romanized Sanskrit: , literal meaning: பொது). So, is the connection with the great பொது (Tibetan: སྤྱི་ཆེན་པོ།, Devanagari: , Romanized Sanskrit: , literal meaning: பொது) the existence of my own nature, or the non-existence of my own nature? To this, in connection with common existence, existence and non-existence are unreasonable. Why? If it exists, then the combination is meaningless; if it does not exist, then it will also not exist. Called existence
