These are the signs. Furthermore, here, those who desire liberation should approach the lama and make both outer and inner aspects complete. That is, bathing and empowerment, fasting and celibacy, residing in the lama's abode, dwelling in the forest, making offerings and giving alms, turning towards the stars and determining the time. The invisible practice of these is called Dharma, and relying on it for that purpose is also called Dharma. The opposite of this is called non-Dharma. Entering into the nature of such Dharma and non-Dharma is happiness and suffering, and attachment and hatred towards them. By doing this, one is born again and wanders in samsara. Thus, entering into the nature of Dharma and non-Dharma is called bondage from beginningless time. If it is asked, since samsara is beginningless, is it also of a nature without end? It is not so, because there is liberation. By knowing that suchness, one will ultimately be liberated. Moreover, if one practices Dharma and non-Dharma, one will revolve again and again, like entering the turning of a mill wheel. Without that, there is no connection of rebirth, therefore it is liberation, like the appearance of a extinguished lamp. An individual with a body and mind is living. Its invisibility, due to not arising and disappearing, is the absence of all conjunctions. Because it will not arise again, the first body and so on will never arise again. If asked, how can Dharma and non-Dharma disappear? It is by not producing the future and stopping accumulation. When one sees the individual as distinct from the body, senses, and mind, merit will not arise, and by completely abandoning the actions that accomplish it, the future will not arise. Stopping accumulation is also when one contemplates the suchness of the body, one will not create attachment. If one definitely realizes the ultimate individual and definitely knows the suchness of the six meanings of the words, then Dharma will also disappear. Here it says: The discriminations of body and mind, having abandoned all, without defilement, one goes to complete transcendence, like a fire when the fuel is exhausted.

This is the teaching about the earth realm. Although the pervasive "self" is ultimately without action, since the mind clings to "self," complete separation from the mind will not occur again, this is a near addition, and this view is the tenet of the Vaiśeṣika school. Regarding this, the teacher briefly summarizes and, according to what they consider to be true, says: "Wisdom, etc., the qualities of 'self' are cut off, The yogi who is uprooted, Who abides clinging to 'self' in the mind, The Vaiśeṣika knows as liberation." Thus it is said. Wisdom, pleasure, pain, desire, hatred, effort, non-Dharma, knowledge, and fabrication, these nine are the qualities of "self." Cutting these off means that they will not arise in the future, and preventing accumulation. Uprooting Dharma and non-Dharma means uprooting from the root, that is, completely reversing. In this way, because of reversing from entering into the action of the mind, when one is in a state of not distinguishing "self" in oneself, it is liberation, the Owl school thinks so. To this it should be said: "By the order of the previously shown extensive explanation, Preventing untrue birth, Or by completely preventing things, Then there are no qualities such as desire and hatred." What is the order shown earlier? It's like this: "The unborn cannot be the maker, It is decided in the matter to be done, Because it is the maker, like the source of honey, Like a flower that is not in the sky." As shown, and "The unborn is not born, like a flower in the sky is not born," etc., because the Owl school completely examined the cessation of birth without action, if the nature of desire and hatred, etc., is not completely established, then how will the qualities of "self" arise? Or, for it, "The nature of arising, etc., In the ultimate sense, it is not there," etc., because the self-nature of all dharmas is completely prevented, in reality there is no thing that is called the meaning of the word quality, since "self" and being there do not exist, then where does annihilation exist? Or, relying on causes and conditions, relying on the general appearance of arising, admitting that it exists
