It is not doing, therefore it is not invisible either. Because the trunk of the sandalwood tree has lost its own nature, it is the agent, not the action. Because there is no example, even the present moment is not considered to be real. Having said this, although some consider the present moment to be real, to the Madhyamikas, it is not considered to be real. Because the initial moment of that very moment is different, the middle moment is also different, and the final moment is also different. Therefore, since it is of the nature of aggregation, it is not real. If it is said here: This object associated with action, because it is an object, is like a mother, etc. The cognizer is the action itself. Thus, if others say this, in order to refute it, answer in four ways: That is not its proof. What does this mean? The agent of the nature of aggregation, just as it depends on mattresses and cushions, etc., cognition is also established as the nature of aggregation, therefore, returning from the difference of dharma, it is to prove that it is contradictory. Then again, what is this called cognition? If the other party says that whatever is knowable is definitely cognized, that is cognition. Then, it should be said to him: If cognition is definitely cognized, then tell me whose it is? Relying on the action of things, just like dyeing cloth with color. Cognition is called wisdom, just like this, it is the cause of things, and things must rely on reality, just like dyeing cloth with color. Changing is dyeing, just like rice, etc. Here too, if the substance that is not cognized is not visible to cognition, then tell me whose cognition is this? Furthermore, sounds, etc., will not become known, but if so, how can it be a knower? Sounds, etc., will become known, but even so, how can it be a knower? In short, if the subsequent actions determined by wisdom are completely absent, then how can this become a knower? Because it is of an unchanging nature, like being painted on a picture, or like a state of deep sleep. Again

If sound and so on become knowable things, then some of these will undergo complete change, therefore, it is something that has the nature of complete change. Like the image of a face and so on, it will fall into the state of having faults such as permanence, and if its own nature disappears, then how can this become a knowable thing? If this has no agent, then how can it become the agent itself? If it is said that because the mind determines it, follows it, and uses it, therefore it is called an agent, then, because there is no agent, it is not produced. How can you think it is the agent itself? Even if it is established on the unborn, it becomes the establisher. Even if it is established, because the agent itself is not produced, it is unreasonable like a rabbit's horn, because it is not produced. How can this establishment be established? If it is a born thing, it can be established, how can it be said that this knowledge can be established? This is what is being thought about. If it can be established like the burning of fire, then it can also be established here, just as a thief burns down a village, the burning that the fire has is established on the thief, just as the knowledge that the mind has is also established on the person, it can be said here. If that person is separated from action, then the agent itself will also be established. Because it is reasonable, just as the burning of fire can be established. To this, there is also: Because of the meaning expressed by the word agent, like fire, your person is also, having cause, having action, is used, and is also the producer of action. If it is established here in the name of the agent like fire, then it becomes having cause, having action, is used, and is also the nature of producing action, just like fire, if it also happens like this, then you are unwilling. Also, it is not all-pervasive, not different from its own nature, not a person. Its own nature, substance, difference, it will abandon it in this way. It is not pervasive of all that is grasped, because it is the object of one aspect, like fire. It is also not different from its own nature.
