When one does not fixate on things like the nose, it is called not always being happy, up to here. These are called non-abilities. The five types of perverted views are as follows: darkness, ignorance, great ignorance, extreme darkness, and extreme obscurity, which are called perverted views. The meaning of perverted views is as follows: considering what is not other as the wisdom of others, truly accomplishing what is not good as good, being arrogant by manifesting what is not happiness as happiness, being self-satisfied by manifesting what is incapable as capable, and believing what is intolerable as tolerable. These are the five perverted views, as explained in the "Fifty Verses." All these that arise from the transformation of nature, because they are not transformations, are called fields, and for the sake of knowing that field, the person is called the knower of the field, being separate from the nature and the characteristics of transformation. They are the self, not different from the conscious knower, unborn, constant, uncreated, profound, principal, pervasive, without an agent, not producing qualities that contradict the three *guṇas* (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: guṇa, literal meaning: गुण), because they do not possess the characteristics of courage, etc., which give rise to knowledge upon finding a proximate cause. Because *guṇa* (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན།, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: guṇa, literal meaning: गुण) is not without an agent, it is an unborn dharma; because it is an object of experience, it is an object-possessor. Because there is no birth or decay, it is constant. Because it is different from nature and transformation, it is without characteristics. Because it is one, it is without parts, and because it has no beginning or end, it is without limit. These are the characteristics of the person. Furthermore, the characteristic of the limit of accomplishment, the entry of the ears, etc., is direct perception. What enables attainment is the sense faculty. What is seen is the object. The seer is the person. Form, etc., are not different from substance. Parts and part-possessors, cause and effect, characteristics and characteristic-possessors are one. For the agent, there is also action, etc. After gradually familiarizing oneself with these truths as stated, from the mind arises courage, the image of the person transforms, or after such complete transformation, it follows the entry of *buddhi* (Tibetan: བློ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: बुद्धि, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: buddhi, literal meaning: बुद्धि). Courage

Power is shown as the nature of clarity. A man is one who particularly enters; whoever has courage, that one is endowed with courage born from the mind. When the mind causes things to be understood, the image of understanding appears in a person, just as the image of the moon is seen in still water, but change never exists. Similarly, even though there is no change in a person, the image of the thing fully known by the mind will also appear, but change never exists. Or, the mind also acts after understanding things, so it completely changes like the image in a mirror, but there is no actual change. If the mind understands something, then which person will follow like the image of the moon? Or, with what will a person completely change? It is said: The self is also other, and the nature is also other. Seeing that itself in this way, the agent and the action are reversed, and such a person is said to be liberated. Liberation is said to be the arising of three kinds of liberation from being bound by three bonds. This is the meaning of the concise words. The three bonds are: the bond of nature, the bond of change, and the bond of wealth. Among these, for the time being, the bond of wealth is said to be that householders, celibates, or those who live in the forest, etc., are bound by acquiring wealth, such as acquiring a hundred or a thousand riches, etc. The bond of change refers to those who have gone forth, because they desire to see sounds, touch, tastes, forms, and smells, they are said to be bound by the changes of the senses. The bond of nature refers to the bodies of gods, asuras, humans, animals, etc., which arise as the nature of changing into various different natures, because they are the nature of pleasure, pain, and delusion, and because they have the characteristics of ego-grasping, just that, and sensory differences. In samsara, due to craving for objects, there is delusion that a person and nature are the same. When knowledge is further increased,
