From where will those arise? For example, for the mind that appears as a sky flower, since there is no power of arising, and since no power has ever been placed on the all-ground consciousness, it is not reasonable that a mind seeing a sky flower should arise later, just like that. Furthermore, "By concealing your own nature, you do not liberate it from one or other." This refers to your assertion that the perfectly established nature and the other-dependent nature exist, and that saying that these two are neither one nor different is merely concealing your own view, and therefore it does not liberate the "suchness" of the perfectly established nature from oneness and otherness. For those who follow in a way that does not understand the Middle Way, "Because there is no substance and no object, what we have said is reasonable." This refers to the fact that it is only because there is no substance that there is no object from its own nature, and therefore it is reasonable for us that what was said earlier is neither one nor different. As we wish, the examples of space and so on are also reasonable. How so? "Like space, it is also unborn, because it is without distinction and without stain, and it is also extremely unspeakable, because consciousness cannot grasp it in any way." This refers to the fact that the suchness of ultimate truth is like space, because for things that have arisen, they will appear as various from the differences in form, but for things that have not arisen, because there is no birth, there is no difference, and because it is not stained by all the elaborations of conceptual thought, it is like space. That is also the nature of being extremely unspeakable, because for things that can be grasped by consciousness, expression will occur, but because it cannot be grasped by consciousness in any way, it is reasonable that it is the nature of being extremely unspeakable. If it is the nature of being extremely uniquely unborn, then how does it become the term "transcendental" and so on? Therefore it is said, "The mind that is free from the confusion of birth is considered to be transcendental, for the sake of liberating from the world, and for completely transcending the world." This refers to the fact that birth itself is confusion, and the mind that is separated from it.
