Whatever appears, because it arises from its own seed. This means that when the consciousnesses of the apprehended and the apprehender arise, the appearances of various objects such as form will increase greatly. So, what are the various things that appear? It is the consciousness that completely transforms into the form of the object. And that consciousness that appears as itself also arises from its own seed, that is, the form that appears as the object. That power latent in it is self-nature, and it also comes from others. This means that when the entering consciousnesses cease and are latent in habits, they will also enter the root consciousness, because it is the self-nature where power is fully exerted. Focusing on one's own part is self-nature, and the consciousness that appears as the object will also be latent in it due to the cessation of others, I think it should be understood this way. What is said here, although it can be believed in the world, has this fault: by the name of consciousness, one will be attached to it as self. This means that those who claim to have a self also think that all power is accumulated in one self that can produce various objects, so you will also be attached to it as self by the expedient of the name of consciousness, and thus the claim of no-self will also be lost. The liberation you establish will also be no different from samsara. Why is that? Because when the Yogis of the Mind-Only school think about the state of mind of samsara and liberation, duality is like an illusion, finite, unpacified, selfless, non-dual, inexhaustible, constant, immortal, realizing the supreme state, therefore, since there is no difference from this, the complete cessation of discrimination, the liberation that is the object of non-discriminating wisdom, will become no different. Duality refers to the state of existence of two things, the apprehended and the apprehender, which is like an illusion, finite, unpacified, selfless, it should be understood this way. Like an illusion, because it is produced by unreal discrimination. Finite, because it has an end. Unpacified, because it is still in the process of arising and ceasing.

It is because it is thrown away by the obstructing actions. The term "selflessness" means that there is no self that is falsely imputed by other non-Buddhists, and also because it itself has no essence. The term "non-duality" means that when objects such as form do not appear outside of the mind, the mind that abides in the nature of one's own mind is called "non-duality." It is to be explained in conjunction with "having realized that it is imperishable, true, immortal, and the supreme state." "Imperishable" means that there is no end to it. "True" means not deceiving. "Immortal" means being free from birth and death, etc. "Supreme state" means the ultimate state. "Having realized" means having realized the principles of duality and non-duality in that way. Because there is no similarity in that. It means that the non-duality, just as there is no grasper and grasped in the state of samsara, similarly there is no self-nature in the state of liberation. Because there is no similarity. By eliminating conceptualization. It means that because one realizes that the two are not similar, therefore by eliminating conceptualization. The object of non-retrogressing wisdom. It refers to the yogi who, with direct perception, does not perceive the self-nature as expressed by words, and also with non-conceptual wisdom, perceives the perfectly established self-nature. For that, liberation will become undifferentiated. It means that this fault will arise, because for that, birth and the object, and the association with birth and the object, exist as before, so from the previous wisdom with conceptualization, liberation is not different, therefore bondage and liberation will become undifferentiated. Furthermore, or in order to establish mind-only. Mental events from the mind. Should be affirmed as non-different. Or the mere-consciousness will not be established. It means that either because you want to establish mind-only, therefore in order to establish mind-only itself, you should also affirm that the various different objects that arise from the mind are not different from the mind. Or if one thinks that the phenomena arising from the mind are different from the mind, then because the phenomena arising from the mind are many, therefore the mere-consciousness will not be established.
