Those four and the four objects of collection gather sentient beings. The so-called "maturation" refers to establishing virtuous Dharma in the continuum of those sentient beings, thereby making them fully mature. The wisdom that understands them is also true conventional wisdom. The so-called "relying on the twelve sources" refers to the wisdom that can thoroughly distinguish the twelve sources such as the eye. It should be known that the wisdom that understands them as mentioned above is nominally established and is true conventional wisdom. In order to show the ultimate wisdom, it is said: Cutting off all nets of conceptualization, refuting and establishing, peace and individual self-awareness, without conceptualization and without letters, away from one and different, like the sky without stain, entering into that without entering is entering, wisdom is ultimate wisdom. It means that cutting off all nets of conceptualization, refuting and establishing, is the suchness of Dharma, because it has the nature of eliminating all nets of conceptualization such as permanence and impermanence, existence and non-existence, constancy and annihilation. Peace means completely transcending all elaborations. Individual self-awareness means not knowing from others. Non-conceptualization means without conceptualization and so on. Without letters means not being the object of speech. Being away from one and different means not being able to be said as that and this, both and neither. Like the sky without stain means being as stainless as the sky is away from clouds. The Dharma nature of those aspects mentioned above, because without entering is entering, is the entrance of non-appearance and non-entrance. It should be known that such wisdom is the wisdom that understands the ultimate truth, just as it is said, "Not seeing is seeing." So, how should one strive for the first of those two? In order to show their order, without the ladder of true conventionality, wanting to climb to the top of a true house is unreasonable for the wise. In order to show that, that is the excellent palace.

Climbing the Stairs. The correct conventional ladder, without which it is impossible. For what reason, it is for that reason. Thus it is said. That which is called the mansion is the mansion of liberation, manifestly superior to the realms of the three worlds, built by immeasurable skillful craftsmen. Adorned with extremely tall pillars of the limbs of enlightenment, plastered with the white lime of limitless virtuous dharmas, illuminated by the rays of the moon-like face of the Sugata, completely eliminating all gradations of dimness, it is the abode of the all-knowing. Climbing that mansion is the ladder of the correct conventional truth, without having practiced in countless seven eons, without having perfected the perfections, powers, and superknowledges, it is not possible to accomplish it with mere hesitation. The Blessed One also said that without the conventional dharmas, one cannot realize the ultimate. For what reason is it so, therefore, first, the conventional truth should be thoroughly distinguished by wisdom. What is called conventional is the meaning of distinguishing all things such as form, and it is the non-inverted worldly convention. That itself is the truth, because it is the measure that goes for all establishments. Among them, first, form is two kinds, twenty types, and so on, and similarly, letters and treatises, manual calculations and methods of speaking, and the lineage of transmitted wealth, and medicine and arithmetic, and secret mantras and knowledge mantras, etc., whatever is famous in the world, should be thoroughly distinguished, and then below it, one will become very certain about the own-nature and general characteristics of the dharmas. Therefore, it obtains the following of the signless ultimate, the pure sphere of activity of worldly knowledge, and shows the thorough distinction of the correct conventional. Among them, the own-characteristics of the dharmas are that which can become form, and feeling, and taking signs, and manifesting fabrication, and making aware, and so on. The general characteristics are impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, and so on. Again, the own-characteristics are blue and yellow and long
