As it is said. Relying on the two truths. Named: What is the dependent arising that relies on the conventional truth? If not examined, there is existence and non-existence, etc., but if examined, it does not exist. It is the nature of arising from the aggregation of causes and conditions. As it is said: Where appearance transforms from aggregation, the guide skillfully reveals, that is the worldly dharma of the wise, and declares it in the place of near designation. As it is said. The dependent arising that relies on the ultimate truth is no birth, as it is said: That which arises from conditions is unborn. As it is said. Dependent arising is named: From the aggregation of different causes and conditions, the result arises, and in the time of destruction, offerings also appear in between. This is the Sunlight Treatise, because it is spoken by the complete and perfect Buddha, the Sunlight. That repetition is named: Repeatedly reciting without interruption. How is it? As it is said in the Ten Bhumi Sutra: Here, the Bodhisattva observes the twelve links of dependent arising in forward and reverse order, and thus observes them properly, that is, the nature of ignorance is not realizing the ultimate truth. The characteristic of ignorance is being completely ignorant of actions. Among them, ignorance abides in two ways: causing all sentient beings to be completely ignorant of objects, and also producing the cause for the present accomplishment of actions. Etc., extensively explained, one should understand from that. The flower of accomplishment is endowed with mantras, its fragrance pervades all directions, to the complete and perfect Buddha, the sun, one serves like a single day. Named: The flower of accomplishment, endowed with praise of immeasurable qualities, the fragrance emanating from all ten directions, to the complete and perfect Buddha, the sun, one serves uninterruptedly like a single day. In the stove of individual discernment, burn the firewood of unwholesome thoughts, for the sake of attaining the unsurpassed state, thus practice the conduct of the capable one. Named: In the stove of individual discernment, in order to dispel attachment to various objects, the thick smoke of the firewood of inappropriate attention

Burning firewood and the like. The capable ones of this Dharma, in order to obtain the wisdom that directly realizes all phenomena in a single instant, truly rely on the discipline of the capable ones, as it has been shown. The second chapter, on truly relying on the discipline of the capable ones, from the commentary on the Essence of the Middle Way, 'The Blazing Intellect.' Now, since it is time to seek that very thing (wisdom), to explain it, the third chapter is begun. Whoever has the eye of wisdom, that one has an eye, not others. Therefore, those who are intelligent should strive to seek that wisdom. Thus, and so on, it is said. The nature of wisdom is the eye, because it engages without obstruction in past, future, present, distant, near, coarse, and subtle objects. Whoever has that eye of wisdom, that one has an eye. 'Not others' means that the eye of flesh is like a blind person for things that are very near, far, and beyond the senses, so even if it exists, it is of no benefit, so even if it exists, it is not endowed with an eye. Therefore, those who are intelligent should abandon seeking that bad eye of flesh and strive to seek that wisdom. To show that very meaning, the intelligent three realms, seeing without obstruction, even the blind, wanting to see far, subtle, and hidden things, will also see them correctly. Thus it is said. Those beings of the three realms who are endowed with the wisdom eye, seeing without obstruction, even if the eye of flesh is damaged and blind, wanting to see that distant thousand yojanas, and subtle things like dust particles, and hidden objects, will also see them correctly as if they had an eye. Furthermore, if the empty eye does not have wisdom, it is not endowed with an eye, because it does not see the path to heaven and liberation, and the non-path. The empty eye is said to be the eye of the gods, because it is bound by the rope of desire for objects, if there is no wisdom eye, then it is not endowed with an eye. Why? Because it does not see the path to heaven and liberation, and the non-path, as they really are.
