As it is said, in the Sutra of the Shapa Grove: Ananda, even if you realize more Dharma than the leaves in this Shapa Grove, I have not taught it to you. Because just those are enough for you to practice, just those will not make you feel weary, nor will they separate you from desire. Thus it is said. Similarly: Master Kunga Patali, the one with aggregates of suffering, the one who manifests emptiness, the one who abandons everything, the one who is in peaceful nirvana and protects the country. Thus it is said, in other sutras, because the root collection is incomplete, it should be understood that it is not an extensive explanation. Thus, in the master's sutra collection, the king of gods, Indra, said: Venerable master, how many Shravaka disciples of the Bhagavan reside in Jambudvipa, if one observes the minds of all of them, there is not a single Bhikshu other than you, venerable master, who can uphold this Dharma category. Venerable master, this Dharma category of yours is the Dharma category spoken by the Bhagavan, you should uphold it. Inferring from this, it should also be known that others did not exist at that time either. If the Bhagavan had not long passed away into nirvana, and the noble Ananda was still alive, but there was no one who understood and realized the Buddha's teachings, then how could there be now? Furthermore, in the Ananda Sutra it says: When the Bhagavan was old, he instructed to respectfully attend to the noble Ananda, and that he could also uphold the Dharma that I have taught. From then on, he reported: I will stay in the presence of the Bhagavan for more than twenty years. It also says: Eighty-four thousand Dharma aggregates, I have received from the Bhagavan, and the other two are received from the Bhikshus. From this, it should be understood that whatever the Bhagavan had previously taught, he had not received, and it is unreasonable to teach him again, because it was received from the Bhikshus. It is also unreasonable to teach only a little Dharma for such a long period of forty years. If the noble Ananda understood everything

If it is said like that, then in the 'Master's Sutra,' the lord of the gods, Indra, would not say, 'There is not even one bhikshu who can hold this Dharma teaching.' Therefore, Ananda did not grasp everything. Therefore, because of what he taught and correctly compiled, it is not seen that the Buddha's teachings are widely spread in that correctly compiled place. In the 'Patala Sutra,' the Blessed One said, 'Patala, when the assembly becomes scarce and declining, from where is the Dharma teaching called 'Good Horse Colt' taught to the bhikshu sangha?' and so on. That sutra has not been seen either. Furthermore, in the 'Heap of Suffering Sutra,' the Blessed One, starting from Shakya Mingchen, said, 'Once, while I was dwelling in Rajagriha, when I went to the Good-faced Mountain from the mountain path, I saw a naked person standing upside down with his head down. I said to him...' and so on, such a sutra that describes it in detail has not been seen either. In the 'Sapa Sutra,' the Blessed One said, 'Once, when I was dwelling in Rajagriha, on the way to the mountain, many other non-Buddhist wanderers came to me. After they came, they intended to ask me these questions...' and so on, such a sutra that describes it in detail has not been seen either. Furthermore, in the 'Manifestation Sutra,' there is also such a Dharma teaching: 'The four feelings that I have taught.' That sutra has not been seen either. In the 'Emptiness Sutra,' the Blessed One said to the noble Ananda, 'The Blessed One was dwelling in the territory of the Shakyas. There, the Blessed One knew all the meanings of what was said...' and so on, 'Ananda, I often abide in emptiness.' and so on. That sutra has not been seen either. In the 'Manifestation Sutra,' the Blessed One said, 'Great King, I remember that in the past, present, and future, there has never appeared any shramana or brahmin who can know everything and see everything at the same time, and that is impossible, because it is not the way it is.' That sutra has not been seen either. In the 'Gampo Sutra,' the venerable Ananda said, 'O venerable Gampo,'

The Sutra named "Yes," which extensively describes how the son of the Bhikshu Sthavira Loving Mother, when he was a young novice, possessed such profound and essential Dharma talks, I have not seen. In the Hidden Sutra, the musician said: When the Shramana Gautama was residing in Nitaka, at the abode of Gujika, extensively as follows. The Sutra where the Blessed One Gautama praised all meditations, etc., I have not seen. In the Rampa Sutra, the Blessed One, starting with the five Bhikshus, declared: Before I renounced and was a householder, I thought and learned in this way: Living at home is full of faults, etc., the extensive Sutra, I have not seen. In the Great Nirvana Sutra, the Sthavira Ananda said to the venerable Ajita: I have heard and received directly from the Blessed One, the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, enter the fourth Dhyana, realize the immovable peace, and those with eyes pass into Nirvana, etc., the Sutra, I have not seen. The noble King Udayana said: Great King, the Blessed One, having truly known and seen, the Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha has spoken of these four paths that cause aversion, even to the point of being inferior, Great King, this world is the insatiable slave of desire, etc., the Sutra, I have not seen. In the Going Sutra, Anathapindika said: I have heard directly from the Blessed One
