Now, saying "unseen," whoever refutes direct perception, how can that be speaking the truth? That is existent but not clear, therefore, things appear but are not seen. If you say that not clear is not non-existent, alas! This treatise is extremely good! From the Essence of Madhyamaka, Entering the Suchness of the Samkhyas, which is the sixth chapter. The yogi who has wisdom and other qualities of the self, and who has uprooted them, the Vaisheshikas consider liberation to be the abiding of the self in the mind. As explained in detail in the previous order, by preventing untrue birth, or by completely preventing things, therefore there are no qualities such as desire and hatred. The unborn should not be an agent, because things must be for things, because it is an agent, like the source of honey, like not being a flower in the sky. The unborn is not the born, like the flower in the sky is unborn. The nature of the elements and so on, in the ultimate sense, is not existent, because of the permanent self, consciousness does not depend, because it has a cause, like a pot. Wisdom is not a quality of the self, it is unreasonable, because it has birth, like not accepting form etc. as its quality. Because it is an accumulation, it is selfless, because it is an aggregate, it is impermanent. Thus, for happiness and suffering etc., one should know the ultimate negation. The mind is not permanent, they think so. Because it is what is said, like a pot. This is not the action of the self, because it is a thing, like happiness. Although the existence of the self has been negated, it should also be examined here, because it is not born from dependence, it is selfless, like a flower in the sky. Its generality is also existent, if you admit it, you should also examine it. This is not pervasive, not permanent, because it is what is to be known, like a pot. If you say that wisdom has birth and change, your self will be destroyed. If it is unchanging, it is not consciousness. How can consciousness and non-consciousness work? Because the accumulation has been negated, the connection with it is also unreasonable. Happiness and suffering, diligence and desire, hatred etc. are also the same principle. For the self that is examined, happiness does not depend, because it has a cause, like a pot. Or the quality of the self, not realizing that it is happiness, because it has birth, like not accepting form etc. as its quality. Or these accumulations, not realizing that they exist in the self, associated with the great co-existent.

To that. Existence and non-existence are not reasonable. Even if there is existence, that combination is meaningless, If there is no existence, then it becomes non-existent. Because it clarifies for the sake of other dharmas, How does that become a clarifier? Even the connection with numbers and so on, Has been answered by this itself. If it is connected with generality and so on, To realize the identity of the individual and the general, If those and so on only meet with conditions, If it is asserted that an individual arises, Neither existent nor non-existent, nor both, Neither one nor many, neither small nor large, This is neither permanent nor impermanent, Neither other nor non-other, nor that nature itself. Like the meaning of the word "self", Also like this, the meaning of emptiness, Although diligently guarded as a secret, It is clarified by the grain-eaters. Because these are grasped as signs, It is not reasonable to see that nature. Because signs are born from untruth, It is asserted that the essence is not truly constant. The meaning that is different from the self, It is not asserted to be related to that, Because of the thought of existence, to the generality of thought, Like wanting to call it generality and so on. Likewise, the connection with numbers and so on, To self or to others? Wise ones should contemplate reasonably, Know that that thought is not like that. The self is inseparable from thought, suffering, Happiness and other qualities, Because it is a quality, like numbers, Therefore, without qualities, it is not the self. Although there is no difference between object and essence, Then what is one's own essence? Because of wanting to combine with the self, All knowledge arises from memory. Unseen ascertainment is also as before, This is also an excessive fault. Because of preventing the birth of non-existence, That combination is also not asserted. In the absence of mind and self, The nature of support and supported is not asserted. Even if self and mind exist, They are not asserted to be support and supported. Because of having discriminating reasons, By seeing substance and so on, one is liberated, How does the owl not desire? Likewise, the owl-like one does not desire. The thought of earth and so on arising from that, The grain-eaters do not assert as liberation, Because differences are not grasped, Like life, that is the nature of thought. On the nature of the Vaisheshikas, Because of the arising of the darkness of wrong views, Therefore, because it contradicts reason, One should not rejoice in thought. The seventh chapter of the Madhyamaka-hrdaya-vrtti, Entering the Reality of the Vaisheshikas, is complete. What is said at the end of the Vedas, All conditioned things are empty.
