Those are not different from cloth, because they are dependent, and when it perishes, those also perish, for example, like the self-nature of cloth. The rest is the same as before. The same should be said for characteristics and the basis of characteristics. If it is said that the subsequent inference refuting oneness harms the subsequent inference refuting otherness, and the subsequent inference refuting otherness also eliminates the subsequent inference refuting oneness, therefore neither can be established. Then, since both are refuted, what is desired can be established, so there is no fault. Therefore, if examined in that way, ultimately, oneness and otherness are not reasonable. Even if it is unreasonable, but the Blessed One, by the power of convention, in order to perfectly accomplish the accumulation of qualities such as morality, samadhi, and wisdom of the beings to be tamed, taught by those known in the world, some people think that those are ultimate, thereby recognizing that although the dharmas do not have such elaboration, it is unreasonable to elaborate, when the teacher thinks like this, he said, "Those who, regarding myself and things, together with itself and otherness, proclaim those teachings, do not think that they are skilled in meaning." Because they admit other dharmas that contradict valid cognition, so he thought like this. Here, the meaning of the analysis is that, through the establishment and unparalleled display first spoken by the other party, it shows the distinction that dependent arising is neither the same meaning nor different meaning. Therefore, one does not see a dharma other than the body, nor does one see a body other than the dharma, how it is not two, not two is not two, that is how one sees. Because of seeing in that way, one also does not see seeing as direct perception, etc., those words are established. Composed by the teacher Lekdenjé (Śrīrakṣita), from the commentary on the Root Verses on the Middle Way, the Lamp of Wisdom, the examination of fire and fuel, called the tenth chapter of analysis. Now, by refuting the distinction of the non-agreeable side of the non-self-nature of things, analyze with the freedom of the meaning of showing samsara as the very nature of non-self-nature.

Chapter Eleven is composed. Here it is said: In the ultimate sense, the aggregates and so on are truly existent, because the Blessed One revealed names and distinctions, and taught the essential instructions in order to exhaust them. For that which does not exist, it is not reasonable to reveal names and distinctions, nor to teach essential instructions in order to exhaust it, just as it is to cure the eye disease of a two-headed person. For those, revealing names and distinctions and teaching essential instructions in order to exhaust them is like this: Monks, samsara has no beginning and no end; for children who do not understand the true Dharma, the cycle of existence is long. Similarly, monks, therefore you should strive diligently to exhaust samsara, and you should be taught in this way. Because these exist, therefore, by the power of the reasons stated above, the aggregates and so on are truly existent. Here it is explained: The Protector of the World, seeing the continuous stream of birth produced by karma and afflictions, like illusions and mirages, without the arising of antidotes to birth, and without the cessation of the continuum, therefore said that the samsara of children is long. Since birth is the basis for various kinds of suffering, it is said that one should be respectful in order to exhaust samsara, because he thought that it should be combined with this. If those who have the nature of discrimination fully examine, then in the ultimate sense there is no difference between samsara and nirvana that can be pointed out, so the Blessed One did not speak in the ultimate sense. Therefore, if it is thought that revealing names and distinctions and teaching essential instructions in order to exhaust them is the ultimate truth, then the meaning of the reason is not established. If it is thought to be a conventional reason, then it is contradictory in meaning and without example. What was said, "Samsara has no beginning and no end," is to eliminate those who claim that there is no cause here, and that things arise from causes. The Blessed One taught the way of arising in the scriptures. Those non-Buddhists who wanted to refute it, when they asked the Blessed One, "How does the previous limit of samsara appear?" The Great Sage said, "Not earth." Samsara has no beginning and no end; for it there is no prior, no later, for it
