Because of where it is established, the subsequent proof seems to be unestablished. Those who consider nature, time, and the son of non-attachment as causes, their general refutation should also be regarded as being like Ishvara. Therefore, in that way, things cannot arise from causelessness either. Some among the Samkhyas say: Not from myself, not from another, not from both, not from a causeless one. Whatever things, wherever they are, arising never exists. Whatever is said like that, although unborn is true, yet it makes manifest, they say. To those, one should ask this: What things, how do they make manifest? If they say, for example, like a lamp manifests a pot and so on. Then, how do unborn pots and so on, be manifested by an unborn lamp? An unborn horse's horn can never be made manifest. Even if one accepts that those exist for the sake of establishing the conventions of conventional truth, one should say: What does a lamp do to a pot? If it is said to be seen, then because it did not exist before, it is newly made. Or, if it is said to be seen by eye consciousness, then because it did not exist before in darkness, it is newly made. If it is said to dispel the darkness that obstructs seeing the pot, then it is also newly made. Or, if it is to be seen, then it itself is appearance, so what does the lamp do again? In our view, what is called a pot is also the elements of earth, water, fire, wind, etc., and the collection formed from the elements. When a lamp appears, it arises together with appearance, therefore, in name, things are also the agent cause that continuously arises from its own cause, because it is the cause that arises together with appearance, it is thought to be the manifester. In terms of ultimate truth, just as refuting arising, refuting manifestation is also the same, what is not manifest does not make it manifest, because the Great Ishvara and so on are not manifest, like a flower in the sky. Therefore, in that way, manifestation is also not good. To this, others explain that things cannot arise from causelessness either, because it would become the fault of always everything arising from everything. To this, because it is a word with loopholes, so if

If one wishes to clearly express the meaning of the words that need to be proven and those that refute the proof, then it will be shown in this way: things arise from causes, and sometimes some things arise from some things, and creation becomes accompanied by fruit, therefore this is unreasonable, because it will become the fault mentioned earlier. If it is otherwise, it is also without meaningful connection, just like before. Therefore, it is not from causelessness either. Things, wherever they are, have never existed when born. This should be connected separately. "Which" refers to all afflicted and purified things. "Wherever" refers to the end of one's own actions and the places where individual continuums are established. "Never" means not even sometimes. Therefore, dependent origination, such as not being born, is accomplished with the uncommon characteristics of non-Buddhists and others. Now, our own schools say: There are four conditions, namely cause, object, immediately preceding condition, and also the dominant condition. The Teacher taught in the Sutras and Abhidharma treatises, in the doctrines of oneself and others, and in the heavenly realms and on earth. A fifth condition does not exist. The conditions fully examined by other schools, namely those that arise in front, exist, and do not exist, are also included in these. Among them, the causal condition is co-emergent, equal in share, concordant, pervasive, and ripening, these five are the cause. The objective condition is all phenomena. The immediately preceding condition is mind and mental events that have arisen, except for the last one. The dominant condition is the agent cause, which is believed to arise only from those things that have been transformed into the other four. Therefore, if the author of the treatise vows that things do not arise from other things, then this will harm the commitment. Therefore it is said: The nature of things does not exist as conditions, etc. Etc., "of things" refers to the eyes, etc. "Nature" is
