It is exhausted. Because those do not have the very nature of other, one should not be attached to this. Although in name it is already established that there is other, in reality it has already been shown that there is no arising from that. The Samkhyas refute, saying: The very nature of things exists only as the nature of minute parts in the conditions, and it is also promised that it will be clarified later. Even if the result has not become clear, since the conditions have been established as other, that is not harmful. If you say that, that is not good, because it is difficult to show the minute nature of things like the famous pot in the world, and the answer of clarification has already been given. Others besides the Samkhyas say that if it is established that the result does not arise from other conditions that are empty of the power of the result, then is it merely non-arising? If you say that, then you have admitted that it is permanent, therefore it is harmful to the previous view. That is not good, because it prevents all forms of arising. It is also not permanent, because it is also admitted that things exist even in the name of non-arising. །། Commentary on the Root Verses on the Middle Way, Lamp of Wisdom, Volume Two. Others say: The conditions alone do not cause the result to arise, for example, the action of the arising of consciousness is desired to be caused by the conditions of the eye, form, light, space, and attention, because it is endowed with conditions. We can say that that also exists, because in reality the action of the arising of consciousness is what causes its own result, because it is endowed with conditions, just as the action of cooking rice porridge is endowed with the conditions of a pot, water, rice, fire, and firewood. Therefore, the previously stated inferences will be harmed by later reasoning. Here it is said: Action is not endowed with conditions. Because, as has been said, later reasoning will harm it, we do not actually admit the action of cooking rice porridge, therefore the opponent's argument will become the fault of the example. Or: Action is not endowed with conditions. This means that in reality the action of producing consciousness
