Since the departed actually rely on them to indicate the agent and the action, there is no example for this either. Like this, because there is actually no thing. Therefore, one should examine those unreasonable points in this way: Here, the agent is either already existent, or non-existent, or something that is both existent and non-existent, and then action will arise, and the action is either already existent, or non-existent, or something that is both existent and non-existent, and then it will become the agent's action. If these are unreasonable in every way, therefore it is said: The agent, if it is already existent, will not do what has become the action. This is the statement of the vow. To this, the agent, if it is already existent, is the one with action. The action, if it is already existent, is also the one with action. The agent, if it is not already existent, will not do what has not become the action. This is also the statement of the vow. To this, the agent, if it is not already existent, and the action, if it is not already existent, are the opposite of this. The so-called agent is the one who does the action. The so-called action is the action. The so-called not doing is not doing the action. To this, in order to temporarily establish the meaning of the vow, in order to prove the former, it is said: If it is already existent, there is no action. If the agent does not rely on action, and thinks that he is the nature of the agent, then he has no action and no deed, because even without action, he can be established. Moreover, it is not possible to be different from the one with action, so it is considered unreasonable for the agent to do things. Or, if it is already existent, there is no action. This is a metaphor that conforms to the Dharma. Here, the subsequent inference is that, in reality, the agent who is already existent, such as Devadatta, is relied upon and examined, and what the heretics completely examine is that Devadatta's continuum will not do good and bad deeds, because he is the agent, such as sacrifice. Or, for those who consider themselves to be the agent, like those who eat leftovers who think that the agent is approximately established, therefore, the subsequent inference is that, in reality, I, Devadatta, will not create karma on Devadatta's continuum, because he is a thing, such as karma. In reality, Devadatta's continuum

The action of karma is not the work of Devadatta, because it is karma, like something other than him, therefore it will be obstructed by inference. What is the meaning of that promise? Is the agent of karma in Devadatta's lineage someone else? Or is there no agent? What will happen with that? If there is another agent, then the promise will be broken. If there is no agent, then there is no example, that is not reasonable, because the agent of Devadatta's lineage called 'I perform sacrifice' is not established as the agent himself, therefore it is established as an example. Therefore, in this way, when one who is an agent does not depend on action, it is not appropriate to conceive of him as an agent, and action and karma are not appropriate. Karma will also become without an agent. Because the agent has not done it. Or again, karma will also become without an agent. This is when one conceives of being karma as the nature of karma, because the nature of karma is not dependent, because nature is not dependent. Therefore, even if it is not done by the agent, it will become karma, here too the inference is like the previous one. When it exists, there is no action. The agent will also become without karma. The meaning of saying this is that it has already been explained by following the first half, so there is no need to explain it. In this way, the promise of the one who makes the promise will be obstructed by inference, therefore it is not desirable for the agent and karma to exist as non-dependent, therefore the agent and karma must be conceived of as being dependent. Therefore, in the ultimate sense, the one called the agent Devadatta, on the lineage of the one who performs karma on Devadatta's lineage, will undoubtedly ripen, one is able to know it as not doing, because it is dependent, like a sacrifice. Similarly, in the ultimate sense, the karma of Devadatta's lineage will undoubtedly ripen on the agent, it is not the action of the agent Devadatta, because it depends on the agent, like the karma of the lineage of a sacrifice. This is the second thing said to establish the meaning of the promise. If it does not become an agent
