Impermanent, because it is sound, like the sound of a large drum. Because one aspect of the meaning of this vow is seen to be established as the reason itself, the reason itself is without fault. Some particularists want to manifestly establish that substances with parts, consisting of the categories of earth, water, fire, and wind, are produced from minute particles, starting only from atoms, in a sequence of two atoms, etc. They refute this, arguing that if the meaning of the reason "because it is other" is conceived as a quality, then the meaning itself will not be established. If it is conceived as a meaning other than that, then it will become a harm to reputation. That is not good, because the cause of other minds, the common nature, is established, because the reason itself is stated generally, and because thinking that it is either a quality itself or other itself is also because the mind is another mind. It will also not become a harm to reputation, because the vow is specific. In ultimate truth, earth atoms do not compose the substance called earth, because they are atoms, like fire atoms. Similarly, fire atoms also do not compose the substance of fire, and so on should also be stated. In the Abhidharma, others say, if "otherness itself" refers to emptiness of the power of the result, then the meaning of the reason is not established. If it refers to non-emptiness of that, then the example will become not possessing the property to be proven. Because the wisdom of otherness itself arises in dependence on another basis, the common dharma is for the sake of general statement. The consequence appears to be unestablished and appears to be not possessing the means of proof. Others say that because the internal and external sense bases are not accepted in ultimate truth, the subject is not established, and because the basis is not established, your meaning will become the fault of non-establishment itself. In conventional truth, because the sense bases such as pot and eye and the basis of otherness itself are accepted, the fault as stated is unreasonable, so that is not reasonable. To this, others explain that things also do not arise from others, why? Because it would follow that everything arises from everything.

Therefore, since that is a statement that can be exploited, it should be argued, and if the argument is refuted, then things will arise from self, or two, or without cause, and because some things will arise from some things, it will contradict the previous view. Otherwise, it would also be inferred that everything arises from everything, because there is no argument and refutation. That is meaningless, for example: "La Gang Slog Tre's 'Syu Rur' is good for fever, there is no one particularly loved in the hearts of prostitutes, bamboo arrow shafts are heavy and weighty, the moonlight is cool in hot weather." It will become like that. Therefore, things do not arise from others. The Samkhyas say that from the distinction of the efficient cause and the indistinguishable earth, etc., and the characteristics of seeds, the fruit called sprout arises, and they think that it arises from two, therefore, for them, it is said, "Not from two," that is, "Not from self and other." The meaning of negation is the same as before. What is it? Wherever, whatever thing, when it arises, never exists. This refers to this situation. Why? Because the arguments shown in both aspects will fall into the place of blame, and also because there is no inference showing that it arises from two, it is also thought so. In order to refute the naked ascetics, it is also said, "Not from two," etc., just as they say that gold rings arise from gold and fire, etc., from self and other. Therefore, it is not from two in that way. Now we must say "Not without cause," meaning "without cause." What is it? Wherever, whatever thing, when it arises, never exists. This refers to this situation. Why? Because there is no inference showing it, and also because there is the fault of damage to inference and fame, it is also thought so. Among them, the damage to inference is admitted in the mundane.
