Because neither oneness nor non-oneness can be established, therefore, let it be concluded. Thus, desire and attachment, neither one nor non-one, cannot be established. Analyze as previously stated, and thereby conclude. As has been shown, be certain that all dharmas cannot be established as either one or non-one. To show similarity, like desire, all dharmas, neither one nor non-one, do not change. Like desire, hatred and ignorance, etc., all external and internal dharmas cannot be established as either one or non-one. Therefore, since desire, etc., are not established in ultimate truth, the reason stated by the opponent for initially relying on them to show afflictions and faults is not established. If the reason itself is stated conventionally, then it is contradictory in meaning. Here, the meaning of the debate is to show that desire and attachment, etc., are without inherent existence by refuting the faults of the reason stated by the opponent. Therefore, Manjushri, there is no desire. There is nothing to be designated as desire. There is no hatred. There is nothing to be designated as hatred. There is no ignorance. There is nothing to be designated as ignorance. Desire is bodhi. Hatred is bodhi. Ignorance is bodhi. If asked how one enters correctly, when one does not enter in order to exhaust desire, does not enter in order to exhaust hatred, does not enter in order to exhaust ignorance, then at that time, one enters correctly. The past mind does not desire, nor does the future mind desire, because it has passed and has not yet come. The present mind also does not desire, because the present has no abiding place, and so on. Similarly, suppressing with great force, is form of the nature of desire? It is not of the nature of being without desire. Are feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness also of the nature of desire? They are not of the nature of being without desire. Form is not the nature of desire.

And, that which is not the nature of being free from desire, whatever that is, is the Perfection of Wisdom. Feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness are not the nature of desire, and whatever is not the nature of being free from desire, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. Is form the nature of hatred? It is not the nature of being free from hatred. Feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness, are they also the nature of hatred? They are not the nature of being free from hatred. Whatever is not the nature of hatred and is not the nature of being free from hatred, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. Feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness are also not the nature of hatred, and whatever is not the nature of being free from hatred, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. Is form the nature of delusion? It is not the nature of being free from delusion. Feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness, are they also the nature of delusion? They are not the nature of being free from delusion. Whatever is not the nature of delusion and is not the nature of being free from delusion, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. Feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness are not the nature of delusion, and whatever is not the nature of being free from delusion, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. Subduing completely with the power of excellent wisdom, form does not become completely afflicted, nor does it become completely purified. Feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness also do not become completely afflicted, nor do they become completely purified. Whatever does not become completely afflicted and completely purified, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. Feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness do not become completely afflicted and completely purified, whatever that is, that is the Perfection of Wisdom, and so forth, all those things that were said are established.
