It should be viewed in this way. The daughter said: Manjushri, it should be viewed like this, for example, when the triple world is burned by the fire of the eon, even ashes do not exist. Similarly, one should not be attached to anything that is formless, invisible, without location, without appearance, and without discriminating consciousness. Similarly, Sharadvatiputra, the nature of all dharmas is non-attachment. Whatever dharma is the nature of something, then it does not have that nature. Therefore, in order to manifest the nature of any dharma, one should not abide closely. Similarly, he showed the aggregates of the world, the world abides in it. The wise do not abide in it, the world is not stained by dharma. The world is the nature of space, and space has no nature. Therefore, by realizing it, the world is not stained by dharma. Similarly, Sharadvatiputra, the non-nature and non-accomplishment of all dharmas is called non-attachment. All such teachings are established. This was composed by the teacher Lekdenjé. From the "Commentary on the Root Verses of the Middle Way, Lamp of Wisdom," the chapter called "Examination of the Elements" is the fifth chapter. Now, in order to show that desire, attachment, hatred, aversion, and so on are without intrinsic nature by refuting the differences that are contrary to emptiness, the sixth chapter is being composed. Here it is said: In the ultimate sense, the aggregates, elements, and sources are truly existent, because the Bhagavan, relying on them, taught about afflictions and faults. If something does not exist, the Bhagavan would not, relying on it, teach about afflictions and faults, just like the hair of a tortoise. The Bhagavan, relying on the aggregates and so on, taught: Due to attachment, one does not know the dharmas, due to attachment, one does not see the dharmas; whoever indulges in desire, at that time, darkness becomes darker. Due to hatred, one does not know the dharmas, due to hatred, one does not see the dharmas; whoever indulges in hatred, at that time, darkness becomes darker.

. The ignorant do not know the dharmas, and the ignorant do not see the dharmas. If a person indulges in delusion, then darkness turns into pitch black. Thus, all afflictions and faults are shown. Therefore, with the reason as mentioned before, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases are indeed existent. Here it is said that the aggregate of formations mainly relies on the activity of desire and so on, so it shows the faults of desire and so on and their faults. Such as illusions, mirages, dreams, cities of Gandharvas, etc., these are only nominally existent, not ultimately existent. Therefore, one should examine them. In this regard, do you say that attachment is before desire? After? Or are desire and attachment simultaneous? Is desire before attachment? After? Or are desire and attachment simultaneous? If you think like this, then wait. If desire is before, is there attachment without desire? If there is attachment before desire, then it becomes without desire, this is the remainder of the sentence. Desire and attachment, especially attachment, are different names. If it is without it and not different, then it becomes not dependent on desire. Just as it is unreasonable for a fruit to ripen without ripening, so it is not the case that attachment is unreasonable. If you ask what this examination will become? Answer: Desire exists depending on it. Attachment exists depending on desire, then it becomes that the desire of this attachment is this. If so, then even without desire, it also becomes attachment. If there is attachment, then it becomes meaningless to generate desire in it, so it is unreasonable. Thus, there is an opportunity to take advantage of here, so by refuting from the meaning of the object, it can be inferred that if attachment is without desire, then it is of the nature of non-arising, because it is dependent, like the nature of desire itself. Here it is said, in the Abhidharma Lakshana it is said: 'All practitioners in their own position, all practitioners before the afflicted.' Thus, since attachment is the cause of desire, there is a fault.
