Therefore, please understand that it is because there is inference. The proponent of the Vaibhashika school said: Space is a real entity, because it abandons the desire for that object, like form. Or, because it is the object of meditative absorption, like consciousness and so on. Or, because it is unconditioned, like Nirvana. Here it is explained: If space is truly considered to be a real entity here, if it is the basis of characteristics, or if it is a characteristic, then how those bases of characteristics and characteristics are impossible, as has already been explained. Therefore, because on our side, there is no real entity other than the characteristic and the self-characteristic. Therefore, it is impossible to accomplish what is to be proven without giving an example. Nirvana and anything else have not been established as real entities either. This also refutes the arguments of other schools, that space only exists, because form is completely cut off, and because it is unconditioned. It should also be stated that the meaning of the reason has not been established. The Sutra school said: Space is not a real entity, so what is it? For us, it is merely the absence of a real entity of obstructive and obstructive matter. Because it is the object of meditative absorption, and because it abandons the desire for that object, although these can eliminate the nature of non-real entities, however, in order to refute those who cling to space as real, in order to explain the clearest refutation, therefore it is said: Except for the cause of form, form will not become the object. As it has been explained, therefore, if the real entity does not exist, then whose will the non-real entity be? If the real entity of obstructive form does not exist, then whose will be the non-real entity that you have postulated as space? Because there is no inference to prove it, this meaning cannot be well established. Or, it can be analyzed in other ways, the other party said: Space is a real entity, this meaning cannot be established.

You said, "Apart from names and definitions, things do not exist." Because of this, even if examples and established examples have been exhausted, they will only become things that need to be established and whose establishment is unsuccessful. Therefore, I need to establish this: form and other things do exist, because, depending on them, non-existence also exists. Here, whatever exists, depending on it, the non-existence of things also exists, for example, form does not exist as taste. Whatever does not exist, depending on it, the non-existence of things does not exist, for example, a horse's horn. The meaning of the reason is not unproven either, like this, you have said more than once that the aggregates, elements, and sources, etc., are non-existent by the aggregates themselves. Therefore, depending on them, non-existence exists, so things do exist. Here it is said that I have only refuted the existence of form and other things, and have not shown their non-existence. Therefore, if the thing called form does not exist, then where will taste not exist? Because it does not exist, the example is not established, so the desired meaning cannot be established. Others say: things and the non-existence of things do exist, because they have consciousness. Here, whatever has consciousness, it exists, for example, the nature of phenomena. Here it is said that if the thing and the non-existence of the thing that are speculated by thinking in the minds of others are considered to be a thing or the non-existence of a thing, then the refutation of these two has also been shown, so they cannot be established as having consciousness. If one thinks that there is another consciousness that does not correspond to things and the non-existence of things, that is also not possible. Therefore, it is said: The dharma that does not correspond to things and non-things, by what does one know things and non-things? It is not the meaning of existence. If the nominalists think that the speculated things and the non-existence of things, and the non-corresponding things, are not at fault because they have consciousness, that is unreasonable, because it is impossible for two non-corresponding self-natures to exist in one thing, and dependence is also unreasonable, and there is no inference that can show it, understand it this way.
