Regarding the continuity of fire and water, etc., they are similar because they are similar to the moment of the cause. If we consider that the later moment arises from the dissimilarity of the nature of the previous moment, for example, the ashes of wood and milk, etc., and yogurt, etc., they are dissimilar because they are dissimilar to the moment of the cause. Regarding this, those effects that are similar to the cause have already been refuted by the inference as shown before. If we speak in terms of those effects that are dissimilar to the cause, it is not reasonable to say that the effect is dissimilar to the cause. Here, the dharma to be established, namely the sprout, is not the effect of the cause to be spoken of, and the dharma that can establish, namely showing dissimilarity, has been established. Therefore, the remaining limbs also appear as before. Here, the inference is that, ultimately, the sprout is not the effect of the cause to be spoken of, because it is dissimilar, like tiles, etc. If one says that the seed is only the cause of the sprout, because it arises when it is present, or because names are given to it, like the sound of a large drum or the sprout of barley, that is not good, because the arising of beings has been prevented in all aspects, so there is a fault of the proponent being flawed because the example has not been established. Some say that the results of the eye, etc., are dissimilar to the consciousness of the eye, etc., therefore the reason for saying dissimilarity is uncertain. That is also not good, because the consciousness of the eye, etc., is also to be established, and because of similarity, it is also to be refuted in the same way, so because there is no dissimilar aspect, there is no case of uncertainty. Or, the earth, etc., to be spoken of are not the cause, because the form has not been established, so the reason that the effects of those exist is not established, or it contradicts the meaning, just like the way shown before. The Vaibhashikas say that the result is both similar and dissimilar to the cause, because the cause of the agent has promised that the cause of the agent of conditioned phenomena is all, so there is no example. That is not good.

Therefore, it is intended to prevent the very establishment of the distinctive functions of the causes that produce similar kinds, and so on. Thus, the collection of scriptures, by negating the form that arises and the form that is made into a cause, has shown that the aggregate of form does not exist. Now, just as form has been negated, the negation of feeling and so on will also be shown to be the same in order: Feeling, perception, volition, mind, and all things, in all aspects, the order is the same as with form. It is intended to say that just as form is negated, the negation of feeling and so on is also the same in order. Just as, in the ultimate sense, form does not exist as a substance, because if its own causes are not grasped, there is no conception of it, like an army and so on, as has been shown, so too, in the ultimate sense, feeling, perception, volitions, and consciousnesses do not exist as substances, because if their own causes are not grasped, there is no conception of them, like an army and so on, this should be understood extensively. The causes of feeling and so on are contact, the eye, form, light, space, attention, and so on, which should be stated as appropriate. Just as, in the ultimate sense, form is not other than the parts of its own collection, because if they are not grasped, there is no conception of it, like the nature of earth and so on, so, having shown that in the ultimate sense, form is not other than its own causes, here too it should be stated that, in the ultimate sense, feeling and so on are not other than their own causes. Here, the objections and the answers to the objections are also as before. The phrase "all things" means that although there are no conditioned dharmas other than the aggregates, it is posited here because it is intended to express the negation of their distinctions, in order to negate that the completely imputed pot and woolen cloth and so on are substantial and other. Here too, the words of connection should be stated as appropriate, as before. Thus, since the aggregates are not established, the meaning of the reason called "included by the aggregates" is not established, and there is no example. How is it? Like this:
