Because it is immeasurable, and because it has been promised that it is unreasonable for anything to be other than itself simultaneously with anything, and also because the example has not been established, so it is thought. Or, by what going does one appear as a goer? That which is other than that is not going. This is said to be the approximate establishment of the vow. If asked why, because for the sole goer, two goings are unreasonable. Therefore, this shows that the dharma of the goer does not possess two goings. Here, it can be inferred that, in reality, going other than oneself is not what the goer goes, because it does not possess two goings, like a dweller. Others say, because for the sole goer, two goings are unreasonable. Because for the sole goer, what appears as whose goer, and the two goings that will be gone after becoming a goer are unreasonable, therefore going other than that is also not what the goer goes. Some say that is unreasonable, because it has been promised that there is only one cause of going, so because it possesses it, it is established that the goer goes, and because otherness has not been prevented, and temporarily the goer goes, how does it become reasonable, it is no different from that. The crumb eaters say, going is only one, and that is other than the goer, and because it possesses it, it is permissible to apply the name goer to the goer. Because it is the cause of going, it is said to go when doing that, just as a lamp is the cause of light, so it is said to illuminate. So, because for the sole goer, two goings are unreasonable, that is unreasonable. That is not good, because it is for establishing the reason as stated before, and because it prevents true going, and because it prevents arising from nothing. Or, it should be known that the goer is not the cause of possessing going, because it is the cause of entering distinguished by intelligence and sound, like karma, so it will become a harm to inference. The goer is meaningless to possess that, because.

If so. The non-goer also, because of being a non-goer, like a stayer, because he does not possess that. Here, it is appropriate to ask or speak about inference according to reason, because all speakers are brave in speaking their own tenets, so there is no end to words. Therefore, if one examines in this way with reason, then the non-goer does not go in three modes of going. The non-that also does not go in three modes of going. The being and non-being also do not go in three modes of going. The so-called goer is the goer who possesses going, which is another term for saying that there is going. The so-called going is what is to be gone. The so-called three modes are the gone, the not-gone, and the being-gone. The so-called non-that also is the goer who is separated from going. The so-called being and non-being also is the goer who both possesses going and is separated from going. Among these, for the time being, the goer does not go in three modes of going, because he possesses the act, like something other than that. The non-that also does not go in three modes of going, because he is separated from going, like a stayer. The being and non-being also do not go in three modes of going, because it is harmed by the inferences shown on both sides. Similarly, one should make whatever appropriate combinations of reason and example with regard to going as the subject. Therefore, having thoroughly examined in all ways with reason and scriptures, the three aspects such as going are in no way possible. Therefore, there is no going, no goer, and no to-be-gone. This is the conclusion based on the power of the fruit of effort as shown. The teacher also shows by this aspect the refutation of the remaining act and agent. Here, the meaning of this explanation is that it shows that going is without inherent existence, and it shows that dependent arising has no coming and possesses the distinction of no going. Therefore, for whom there is no going and no coming, that is the going of the noble ones.

It is called "coming" etc., and "Son of the family, the Tathagata has no coming or going" etc., and "Here there is no coming and going. All dharmas are like the sky." etc., Similarly, for whom there is not even a mote of going or coming, that is the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva, because coming and going are not visible there. Completely overwhelming with great power, on form, coming and going are not visible. On feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, coming and going are not visible. Whatever form, feeling, perception, formations, and the coming and going of consciousness are not visible, that is Prajnaparamita, all that is said such as this is established. Composed by the teacher Lekdenjé (Śāntarakṣita), from the commentary on the Root Verses of the Middle Way, the Lamp of Wisdom: It is called "Gone" and "Not Gone" and "Meditation Examination", this is the second chapter. Commentary on the Root Verses of the Middle Way, Lamp of Wisdom, Volume Four. Now, in order to show that the aggregates are without inherent existence by refuting the distinctions of dissimilar aspects of arising, the third chapter is begun according to the meaning. Or, in order to show the emptiness of the aggregates by refuting the dissimilar aspects of going, the third chapter is begun. When examining according to the first case, the dissimilar aspects are established as: In ultimate truth, the internal aggregates should only be considered as arising, because they are definite in their respective objects. Here, for things that do not arise, there is no certainty in their respective objects, just as the aggregates of the son of a barren woman have no certainty in their respective objects. The internal aggregates have certainty in their respective objects, like this: the objects of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are respectively form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharmas in order. Therefore, according to the reasons stated above, the internal aggregates should only be considered as arising. When examining according to the second case, therefore, going
