That is, cause and, object and immediate condition, dominant condition are also the same, and so on. Because the nature of the other causes mentioned and the differences are explained, this is summarized. The meaning of the discussion here is to show the unborn. Therefore, dependent arising is the source of the unborn. That which arises from conditions is unborn. There is no self-nature of birth in it. That which depends on conditions is said to be empty. Whoever knows emptiness is the one who is careful. Thus it is said. Similarly, in whom there is no slight arising, nor is there any slight cessation, seeing all actions as peaceful, in that there is neither existence nor non-existence. Thus it is said. Similarly, the Tathagata is always the unborn Dharma, and all Dharmas are similar to the Sugata. Thus it is said. Similarly, Manjushri, therefore, you should also understand in this way by those names, that is, unborn and unceasing, which are the supreme words of the Tathagata. Thus it is said. Similarly, wherever all craving ceases, that is the unborn. Whoever is unborn, that is enlightenment. If the world appears in birth, then there is no appearance of the Buddha in this, nor is there Nirvana. Thus it is said. Similarly, whoever fully knows that the aggregates are unborn and the elements are unborn, although they act in the world, they do not dwell in this world. Thus it is said, and so on, all of which have been established. Composed by the teacher Sthiramati, from the Commentary on the Root Verses of the Middle Way, the Lamp of Wisdom, the chapter called "Examination of Conditions" is the first chapter. Now, the difference between dependent arising, not coming and not going, will be shown, or, because the incompatible aspects of showing the unborn nature of all things in the first chapter are explained, the second chapter is begun. Others say that the disciples have gained faith by obtaining the reason for the unborn, and in order to hear the refutation of the coming and going that is commonly known in the world, the second chapter is composed. Others say that it is not so, this is the right reason.

It is not, because the mind is reversed by seeming valid cognition, so it is not appropriate to ask such a question, because that is to show that there is going, to show that there is birth, it is the kind that will later speak of inference. If the mind is deluded by seeming valid cognition, then how is it reasonable to say that there is no going in the true sense? Because the question is not in accordance with the rules. If it is examined as an unknowing question, then it will become the object of ordinary treatises. In the world, mostly due to the power of the names of many affairs, there is attachment to the reality of affairs, and in order to eliminate the thorn of attachment, if one gives a deed of the nature of going, then it is easy to give the remaining deeds as well, therefore, the former position is established first. In this, it seems that there is a disagreement with the meaning of the occasion, the inner things are only born, because the names that have objects are made for them. In this, whatever is not born does not make the names that have objects, just as the son of a barren woman does not go. God-given and all-pervading friends do not act like that, therefore the inner things are only born. In order to give up the former position that was established first, this is said, if giving, discipline, meditation, etc., become the practice of birth, and going and coming are famous in the world, if one practices those, then one is practicing on what has already been established. However, in the true sense, the yogi dwells equally, seeing the true nature of things with the eye of wisdom, and the birth and going and coming exist, if one practices, then because the names that have objects are made for them, the meaning of that reason is not established, because going is also prevented just like preventing birth, so going is prevented. If one understands the reason that is famous in both aspects of the general form, then because there is no following, and only in the inconsistent aspect does it follow, the meaning of the reason itself is contradictory. Again, it is said, in this, if there is going in the true sense, then that
