Not only in the ultimate truth, but also in worldly convention, because even if there is a slight cause, it is not promised to produce an effect. Therefore, the statement "this arises because of this" is not reasonable. Therefore, the fault of logic will always accompany you. If someone says that when showing that those things exist, because it is so promised in convention, such as "Nirvana is peace" and so on. Then, the fault of these examples is the same as before. By turning away from the desire caused by the defects of conditioned phenomena such as impermanence, in order to approach it, Nirvana is shown as peace, which also belongs to the conventional truth, but in the ultimate truth, it does not exist. The Blessed One also, through conceptual imputation, in order to truly relieve those tamed beings who have faith in the profound Dharma, truly praised Nirvana with qualities such as peace, also because he promised the conventional truth. In the ultimate truth, Nirvana is also empty of its own nature such as existence, therefore there is no example, so the argument is not established, because without it, the desired meaning cannot be achieved. Even if the cause is thus blocked, others will still refute that in the ultimate truth, the causes that establish the inner sense bases such as the eye are existent, because they produce effects, such as the causes that establish sprouts, such as seeds. If someone says that for something that does not exist, the cause is also non-existent, such as a garment made of tortoise hair. Then, they should be asked this: do your causes, whether they are separate or aggregated, exist with the nature of the effect, or do they not exist? What will happen from that? If it exists, then the answer to that side is: if it exists, what is the use of the cause? This answer has already been said. If it does not exist, then the answer to that side is also: if it does not exist, what can become a cause? This answer has also been said. However, it should be said again: when the causes are separate or aggregated, if that effect does not exist, then, for the causes, how can something that does not exist arise from the cause? In the ultimate truth, there is no production of effect at all.
