will not appear. Only the aggregate of suffering, thus and truly ceases. This is understood from the perspective of conventional truth. But in the ultimate truth, the limbs of dependent origination, such as ignorance, have not arisen, so there is no cessation either. The Blessed One did not promise to teach pure dependent origination in the ultimate truth, so there is no occasion to violate the promise. To this, Here, the meaning of the refutation is that the opponent first raises a debate, pointing out the fault of the established thesis, and then explains the conventional dependent origination by answering. Therefore, the Blessed One said that dependent origination is unborn, so it is called dependent origination. For something that is unborn, where would there be cessation? By realizing no cessation, one can realize dependent origination, etc., and the meaning of what was said is established. This was made by the teacher Lekdenjé (leags ldan byed). From the commentary on the Root Verses on the Middle Way, the Lamp of Wisdom, the chapter on the Twelve Limbs of Existence, the twenty-sixth chapter is completed. Now, similarly, by refuting the differences of the opposing side of emptiness, in order to show the view of emptiness, the twenty-seventh chapter is begun. Here it is said: In the ultimate truth, the five aggregates of appropriation only have own-nature, because they are the place of view. Here, whatever does not exist is not the place of view, like a rabbit's horn. The five aggregates of appropriation are the place of view, as it is said in the Abhidharma: "That is suffering, arising, the place of worldly view, existence." Therefore, by the power of the reason stated above, in the ultimate truth, the five aggregates of appropriation only have own-nature. Here it is said: In the past time, has arisen, etc., has not arisen, the world is permanent, etc., whatever is seen, all rely on the former extreme. I have arisen in the past time, thus it is said, has not arisen, thus it is said, has arisen and also arisen, has not arisen and also not arisen.
