Because it is constant and easy. From that contact, feeling arises. Feeling means individual awareness, experiencing three aspects. Arising means manifestly arising, which is to say that all feelings arising from contact as a condition are definitely determined. The condition for feeling is craving. One will crave the meaning of feeling. Craving refers to the nature of desire. One will crave the meaning of feeling, just as an ignorant child, with honey smeared on the edge of a sword, briefly tastes sweetness, and those who do not realize that suffering is small and faults are great will crave it. If someone thinks that pleasant feeling is beneficial, so when experiencing it, one repeatedly wants to obtain it, so it is reasonable to crave it, then painful feeling is harmful when experiencing it, so one should not want to obtain it, so how can craving arise from it as a condition? Because experiencing painful feeling, the craving to separate from it arises, so there is no fault. Craving turns into clinging. The four aspects turn into clinging. Clinging means attachment, so it is clinging. Some say that the increase of craving itself is clinging. Others say it is the effort to obtain enjoyments. The four aspects refer to desire-clinging, view-clinging, ethical discipline and moral conduct-clinging, and self-assertion-clinging are the nature of clinging. For one who has clinging, the existence of the taker will arise greatly. Existence means karmic existence, that which produces existence is existence. Or existence is birth, birth and arising are synonyms. The karma that is the cause of existence is existence, because the proximate cause is established for the result, just as it is said that the appearance of the Buddhas is happiness. Here too, contact and so on should not be taken as either of the two, because they are merely conditions, they are conditioned.

And, those are also the causes and conditions of other things. Like consciousness and so on, those belonging to that time arise from the causes of ignorance and action. Regarding that, if one relies on a virtuous friend, listens to the sacred Dharma, and properly applies the mind, then by the aspects of suffering, such as actions being painful, or by seeing that they are unborn due to emptiness of inherent nature, at the time when that very knowledge arises, one will not become attached. If there is no attachment, one will not take hold. If there is no taking hold, one will be liberated and there will be no existence. Dependent arising also shows the result closely when the third aggregate, which exists now, is destroyed, and the combination of the existing thing being destroyed is also a combination of only the present time. If there is taking hold, it is said that there is existence. What is its characteristic? Existence is also the five aggregates. Here also, the continuum of the five aggregates is labeled as the five aggregates. One should definitely grasp that the five aggregates are only existence. One should not definitely grasp that the five aggregates are only existence, because the existence of the formless realm is the four aggregates. From existence, birth arises. What is called birth is called birth because of birth, it arises from the aggregates that have not arisen. Old age, death, and sorrow. What is called old age and death is complete change and the cause of destruction. What is called sorrow is what arises from separation from what is dear, it is the nature of inner complete torment. Lamentation with wailing and suffering. What is called lamentation with wailing is the expression of words based on the universal praise of the qualities of a beloved person who has been wasted, it is complete speaking and lamentation with wailing. What is called suffering is the feeling of bodily discomfort. Discomfort and disturbances. What is called discomfort is the feeling of mental discomfort. What is called disturbances is disturbances due to bodily and mental disturbances. Those arise from birth. What is called those arising from birth is that those old age, death, and so on, as shown, arise from birth.

will occur. Thus, the aggregate of suffering will occur solely. The so-called "aggregate of suffering" is a synonym for the collection of suffering. The so-called "solely" is a synonym for not being mixed with happiness. The so-called "this will occur" means that it will be produced. The occurrence of that aggregate, which belongs to the conventional truth, is a conventional dependent arising. In the ultimate sense, it does not exist in the way that it is described as being unborn, so there is no harm to the commitment. So how does this continuous stream of birth reverse? Therefore, it is explained: Because the unwise manifestly fabricate, therefore the wise do not fabricate the root fabrication in samsara. Those who see the faults of fabrication, because they see it as it is, do not manifestly fabricate it. The unwise, however, manifestly fabricate because they want to repeatedly experience happiness from fabrications that are like illusions and mirages, arising from a continuous stream of beginningless causes, because they do not see the faults of those things. Therefore, the unwise fabricate. Because they see the unwise themselves. Because the antidote has arisen, and because they have abandoned ignorance, which is the nature of the afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge. If ignorance ceases, then fabrications will not arise. Because there is no cause, like a sprout without a seed. The cessation of ignorance is also, if ignorance ceases, then it is through meditating on that wisdom. With the object of the selflessness of phenomena, with the wisdom of emptiness focusing on dependent arising, as explained before, by meditating and familiarizing oneself with negating the nature of all things. That and that cease, so that and that will not manifest. The former limbs of existence, such as fabrication, cease because the antidote has arisen, so the latter limbs of existence, such as consciousness, will not manifest, that is, when fabrication ceases, consciousness ceases, and so on, until when birth ceases, old age and death cease.
