Attachment to afflictions is unreasonable, just as a prostitute's transformation into a young girl, recognizing selflessness, one should not be attached to things because of names, but rather should engage in inappropriate attention. Similarly, what is meant by "other-powered nature"? It is the nature of dependent arising of all phenomena, the basis of defilement and purification. Because there is a reason for examination, and because these two are absent elsewhere, and because of the object of defilement, it is believed that other-powered existence exists. Regarding this, if it is believed that the nature of other belongs to conventional truth, then it depends on your intention, and it is meaningless to point it out. If it is considered ultimate truth, then it is not dependent arising, because birth is prevented by the way of explaining the unborn. Because there is a reason for examination, this is also not a property of the subject, so the meaning of the reason is not established. If it is said again, because there is a reason for examination, this is an example of similar phenomena, therefore the inference is that whatever is considered form in ultimate truth is with reason, because it is examined, if it is said in this way, since there is no following of "for example, like this," the meaning of the reason is not established. The meaning of the reason is also contradictory, because the reason is stated universally. Those who claim that name and form are unborn in ultimate truth, accuse them of the fault of assertion. If it is said that inference is harmful, then precisely because of this, inference is not harmful to it. If it is said that fame is harmful, then this has already been answered at the beginning. If it is said that direct perception is harmful, then there is no opportunity for this here either. Because ultimate truth is non-dual, what is defiled and purified by what? Saying unborn in ultimate truth is not a slander of defilement and purification. Is it not slander? No, just as it is said in the Sutra Pitaka, beginningless

The element with self-nature is the place of all seeds. Because of its existence, all beings and the peace of Nirvana can be attained. Thus it is said. Therefore, it is considered that this is other-nature. If it is pure, it is called the Dharmadhatu; if it is not pure, it is called afflicted. If someone asks: The Sutra Pitaka says so in order to clarify the truth of conventional truth. The element co-existent with beginningless time, this means that from beginningless time, consciousness has already entered into it. Element, because it is the cause of the holy Dharma, like gold and silver mines. It is the place of all seeds, which means that it is the place of the seeds of habits that belong to the three realms and do not belong to the three realms, as well as good and non-good. Because of its existence, all beings, this means that relying on its power, the Dharma that can obtain beings manifests. Obtaining the peace of Nirvana, this means that through the wisdom of non-birth arising from hearing, thinking, and meditation, one can obtain the peace of Nirvana of the Dharma-nature of non-birth. Because the meaning of the verses has been acknowledged. If the meaning of the verses is other, then it is difficult for the valid measure to show, so it cannot be refuted. If the Sutra Pitaka also says: The observed self-nature does not exist, other-nature exists. At the end of addition and slander, the discriminating mind will disappear. Thus it is said. Therefore, other-nature exists. The meaning of the Sutra Pitaka is that other-nature does not have a name. Moreover, other-nature in the conventional, like the self-nature of illusion and dream is manifested. Other sutras also say: Just as with what and what, to explain what and what are the dharmas, for it, it does not exist, it is the Dharma-nature of the dharmas. Thus it is said. Similarly, there is no producer and no produced, whatever the causes, none exists anywhere, but it can be spoken of in the conventional. Thus it is said. Similarly, for one in whom there is no slightest arising and no slightest cessation, seeing the solitary practitioner, for him, existence and non-existence do not exist. Like what is said, and so on. Understand.
