If, as you say, the nature of the earth's compassion is not present in a prostitute, then the compassion of the Blessed One is like the solicitations of a prostitute. If you say that there is conventional compassion, like a prostitute soliciting business, that is not reasonable. If you say that the Buddha's compassion is not from the heart, but is conventional, like the solicitations of a prostitute, that is not good, because compassion such as love for a child is uncertain. Therefore, when non-Buddhists everywhere utter words filled with intense hatred and malice, they only reveal the evil nature of their own minds. The Commentary on the Root Verses on the Middle Way, The Lamp of Wisdom, Volume Nineteen. The Yogācārins say: All objects of focus are completely pacified, Elaboration is completely pacified, it is peace, The Buddha nowhere, To no one has taught any dharma. If this is true, then it is not right to deny other methods of realizing this truth. So how should it be? One should understand the three natures: The first is the completely imputed nature, The second is the other-powered nature, The third is the thoroughly established nature. Since the nature and arising, etc., Are without self-nature in the ultimate sense, The three natures should all be accepted As the self-nature of no self-nature. When the completely imputed nature does not exist and is not seen, and one does not grasp the other-powered nature as a reason, and therefore one cannot truly see it, then all objects of focus are completely pacified. These should be studied together, what is the completely imputed nature? Its nature is without self-nature, so what is without self-nature like? If the completely imputed nature is the conceptual thought that names the nature and differences of things, such as the form and feeling, etc., that conceptually think of the nature, and the visible and invisible, etc., that conceptually think of the differences. Its nature is without self-nature.

Because the absence of inherent existence is not included within the five reasons, etc. Even if it is not so, it becomes afflicted due to clinging to names and meanings. If someone asks, how do children cling to its own nature in the same way as clinging to names and meanings? In this regard, if someone says that in the so-called "form" things, whatever is the imagined nature of what is thought in the mind and spoken in words does not exist, then that is slandering things, because it is slandering what is thought in the mind and spoken in words. If someone says that, in any case, the meaning of these two, that is, the imagined, does not exist, like a snake on a rope, then it is not that the imagined does not exist. Because there, due to the similarity in shape, foolish wisdom will produce imagined, even if it is said in name that there is no snake where the snake is coiled, it will become a damage to reputation. If someone says that in the ultimate truth, things are eliminated, then that is following the view of the Madhyamaka school, because in the ultimate truth, the snake is not substantially existent, and it is not produced from its own nature. If the thought of rope and snake arises only because one does not see the coiling of rope and snake, then it is impossible to make the other person understand this by himself. Whatever is not established in any case is not a real reason. Therefore, at the time of name, it should be hoped that the argument will be carried out in a way that is recognized by both sides, which has been explained before. If one wants to show that the meaning of the imagined does not exist, then one should hope that the teacher will declare the reasonable Madhyamaka view, because only by negating the nature of what is to be said can the expression of mind and language be prevented from entering that object. If someone says that the characteristic of the imagined does not exist, then that is the meaning of the reason is not established, because name belongs to form and formation, and also nature, discrimination, recollection, etc. discriminations also belong to consciousness and the aggregate of formation. Furthermore, the entry of nominal expression is based on the nature and difference of the object to be expressed, while in the ultimate truth, the nature and difference of the object to be expressed are negated, so it is obvious.
