Suffering does not exist. The nature of selflessness, etc., is achieved by striving for self, etc., or by relying on them, so it should be understood. Because selflessness, etc., are not established. For those who regard self, etc., as inverted, just as if there is no person, there would be no inversion of seeing a rope segment as a person. Because inversion itself is not established, the fault of not having reasons, etc., is difficult to avoid. Then, for the yogi, if such inversions and non-inversions of permanence and impermanence, etc., are established, then what merit will arise when wrong discriminations are made among them? Because it is intended to show the result in the manner shown above, therefore, when inversion ceases, ignorance will cease. Because the cause of inversion is also ignorance, therefore, when inversion ceases, the cause of seeing self, etc., as existent, which is ignorance, will cease. If ignorance ceases, then actions, etc., will also cease. Connecting actions, etc., as words, actions, consciousness, name, form, six sense sources, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, existence, birth, old age, death, etc. Therefore, in this way, from realizing selflessness, the pacification of afflictions can be achieved. If the side that says self-nature exists says whether these afflictions exist or do not exist, what will happen? If some people's afflictions, whatever exists in self-nature, even if it is not said "existent," it should be understood from the context. How will it be eliminated? How will it not be eliminated? Who will eliminate what exists? It should be understood that because what exists, its self-nature will not change. If it does not exist, like a rabbit's horn, or like a characteristic that one does not exist in another, even so, if some people's afflictions, whatever does not exist in self-nature, here it is not said "non-existent" either, it should be understood from the context. How will it be eliminated? How will it not be eliminated? Non-existent
