A body that is impure and untrue, a dharma that is incompatible with all the world, not born from the eye, not relying on the ear, not to be known by the nose, not to be distinguished by the tongue, not possessing a body, and so forth. Thus, one should only meditate on the recollection of the Buddha. The Tathagata is not seen from the form, is not form, is not a mark, is not an example, is not discipline, is not samadhi, is not wisdom, is not liberation, is not seeing the wisdom of liberation, is not lineage, is not family, is not birth, is not retinue, is not the nature of self, is not the nature of others, this is the recollection of the Buddha, and so forth. Thus, the Tathagata is the constant unborn dharma, all dharmas are the same as the Sugata. Those who cling to signs are childish, and practice dharmas that do not exist in the world. The image of the Tathagata's stainless virtuous dharma is like a reflection. Although there is no actual Tathagata here, the reflection appears everywhere in the world. Thus, the complete enlightenment based on the aggregates, who has not seen what with what where? Who has not seen what with what where? How should that be shown? Thus, those who have spoken have been established. Composed by the teacher Lekdenjey, from the commentary on the Root Verses on the Middle Way, the Lamp of Wisdom, the chapter on the Tathagata, the twenty-second chapter is completed. Now, similarly, by refuting the differences of the aspects that are incompatible with emptiness, with the meaning of showing the inversion of no self-nature, the twenty-third chapter is begun. Here it is said: Attachment, hatred, and delusion, are said to arise from conceptualization. It is said in the scriptures. Attachment, hatred, and delusion, respectively, arise entirely from relying on the perversion of what is attractive and unattractive. The word 'entirely' is used for emphasis, that is, it arises entirely from relying on the perversion of what is attractive and unattractive, it does not arise without relying.

It should be definitely understood as "has arisen." But for the statement "depending on the perversion of suffering and non-suffering," it is not necessary to understand it exactly, because the causes for their arising, such as improper attention, also exist. Thus, this is a word of example that is in accordance with its dharma. By showing the example from the perspective of what is to be established and the dharma of establishment, the remaining limbs become manifest. Therefore, it can be inferred that, in the ultimate sense, the aggregates and so on are only self-existent, because they arise depending on causes, like desire and so on. Whatever is not self-existent does not arise depending on causes, like a flower in the sky. The aggregates and so on arise depending on their respective causes. Therefore, by the power of the reason stated above, in the ultimate sense, the aggregates and so on are only self-existent. Here it is said: Whatever arises depending on the perversion of suffering and non-suffering, the afflictions such as desire, you have shown them as examples. They are not self-existent, because of the way shown earlier. Therefore, afflictions are not truly existent. "Truly existent" is a synonym for "ultimately existent." Therefore, there is the fault of the example of what is to be established being incomplete. If one thinks with a conventional example, then it is difficult to answer the accusation that the dharma to be established is incomplete, because in the ultimate sense, afflictions and so on are selfless. If one establishes conventional self-existence, then that is establishing what has already been established. Furthermore, the existence and non-existence of self, depending on the ultimate and conventional ways, cannot be established in any way. The word "also" is the meaning that must be understood, that is, it cannot be established. Thus, how can existence and non-existence be established by self and the afflictions without it? It cannot be established, this is the meaning of the words, it should be understood that stability exists because it depends on the support. In order to clarify that meaning, these were said: From where do those afflictions arise? Because it is its quality, and because it is to be enjoyed. That also cannot be established. How is it? That
