।। After the Buddha's passing, the thought of whether he "exists" or "does not exist" is inherently unreasonable. This is because the wisdom of discursive thought does not arise in a place without an object. Therefore, it is understood that this is the case. Thus, here too, there are the faults of reasoning and the faults of examples. Therefore, regarding existence and non-existence, permanence and impermanence, the Form Body and the Dharma Body, the Body of Scripture, characteristics and the basis of characteristics, cause and effect, wisdom and what is to be realized, emptiness and non-emptiness, and so on, those who engage in elaboration on things that the Buddha has transcended elaboration, those who elaborate on the inexhaustible, all those who are impaired by elaboration will not see the Thus-Gone One. All those whose eye of wisdom is impaired by elaboration will not see the Thus-Gone One, just as a blind person does not see the sun, because the Thus-Gone One is to be seen from the perspective of Dharma-nature. Likewise, whoever sees dependent arising sees the Dharma. Whoever sees the Dharma sees the Buddha, as it is said. Or, the Thus-Gone One is the Form Body, the Thus-Gone One is the Dharma Body of the teachings. Those who engage in elaboration on things that the Buddha has transcended elaboration, those who elaborate on the inexhaustible, all those who are impaired by elaboration will not see the Thus-Gone One. As it is said: "Those who see me in form, and those who know me by sound, those people have entered onto a wrong path, and they will not see the Thus-Gone One." Therefore, if one examines thoroughly in this way, then things themselves become an example of proving the existence of inherent nature. What is it that the Thus-Gone One has spoken? What is the true nature of the Thus-Gone One? That is the nature of this world. The true nature of the Thus-Gone One does not exist, and the nature of this world does not exist either. If one examines thoroughly, it is neither the body nor other than the body. And so on, because there is no inherent nature. Because there is no inherent nature that has not been completely examined, there is no inherent nature. Among these, the inherent nature that is examined is the aggregates, elements, sources, characteristics, the basis of characteristics, cause

And the nature of fruit, things, non-things, oneness, otherness, and so on. Among them, apart from the cause of form, form cannot become an object. As shown there, because the aggregates are without self-nature, the Tathagata of that nature is without self-nature. Before the nature of space, there is no space at all. Like that and so on, how are the six elements such as space fully investigated there? They are neither things, nor non-things, nor the basis of nature, nor nature itself. Because things and so on are without self-nature, it is shown to be without self-nature. Similarly, when the Tathagata observes the nature of the realm of consciousness and so on, if it is fully investigated, it is neither a thing nor a non-thing, nor the basis of nature, nor nature itself. Because things and non-things, the basis of nature and nature are without self-nature, it is without self-nature. Just as when the sense bases are observed, it is shown that the sense bases are without self-nature, and there is no seer and so on apart from that, similarly, the Tathagata who is the nature of the sense bases is also without self-nature, therefore the Tathagata is without self-nature. Just as when fire and firewood are observed, oneness, otherness, and unspeakability are prevented, when they are without self-nature, similarly, the nature of consciousness and the knowable, as well as the nature of aggregation and the aggregator, and the Dharmadhatu and so on are also without self-nature of oneness and otherness, and unspeakability, therefore the Tathagata is without self-nature. The distinction of non-arising, because of preventing arising and so on, in the distinction of observing what has passed and what has not passed, because of preventing what has passed and so on, arising and so on are without self-nature, therefore the Tathagata is without self-nature. How does the Tathagata walk? This walk is also without self-nature. Therefore, because there is no conforming side,

It is the meaning of unaccomplished and contradictory to the meaning of the vow. Here, the meaning of "good distinction" is to refute the faults of the arguments first put forward by others, thereby revealing the Dharmakaya of the Tathagata. Therefore, Mahamati, it is neither permanent nor impermanent, neither result nor cause, neither conditioned nor unconditioned, neither wisdom nor knowable, neither the basis of self-nature nor self-nature, neither aggregates nor different from aggregates, neither speech nor what is spoken, neither one nor different, unrelated to both, whatever is without object is beyond all elaboration. Whatever is beyond all elaboration is the Tathagata, as it is said.
