And, because it arises as the essence of the nature of illusion and so on, it is also called both. Because of completely abandoning falling into any extreme, and because of relying on the two truths and eliminating the poison of the fault of seeing both, and in order to realize the ultimate truth, it is also called neither. Therefore, in order to wash away the defilement of such unreal realization. Emptiness and so on are proclaimed, as it is said that emptiness is definitely liberated from all views. Furthermore, if things have self-nature, what merit is there in seeing emptiness? Because seeing is bound by discrimination, it must be refuted here. It is said like this. If it is said that because of saying neither, the elaboration is not abandoned, then, because it is intended to refute other elaborations, there is no fault in saying so, for example, one does not want sound, in order to refute other sounds, saying do not make a sound, do not make a sound, there is no fault. Or, in order to show the ultimate truth, the difference between the conventional consciousness and the ultimate consciousness as the cause is approximated in the ultimate truth, therefore, it is vowed that things are empty in the ultimate truth, so there is no fault. It is also said below: Without relying on the conventional, the ultimate cannot be shown. In addition, emptiness is only said for the sake of refuting non-emptiness, because the establishment of emptiness is not mainly shown, so there is no fault. Therefore, although the Tathagata-garbha is empty, some people say that the Tathagata is permanent, or impermanent, or permanent and also permanent, impermanent and also impermanent, or neither permanent nor impermanent, similarly, the world is finite, or the world is infinite, or finite and also infinite, or neither finite nor infinite, because it will become like this, how those are established, how I am also established, and how things are also established, in order to say these, it is said here: Where are the four, such as permanent and impermanent, in peace? The four, such as finite and infinite,

Where is this peace? In this peace where the Tathagata is not born by nature. Because if the reason is established, then its establishment is also a statement. Therefore, the reason itself is neither common nor contradictory. Or, as shown, in the emptiness of the self-nature of the dependent arising of the Blessed One, where are the four, such as permanence and impermanence? Where are the four, such as end and endlessness? In this peace of selflessness and non-substantiality, the four, such as permanence and impermanence, do not exist, which is the meaning of the conclusion. Therefore, the Tathagata is not permanent, nor impermanent, nor both permanent and impermanent, nor neither permanent nor impermanent, nor is the world finite, nor infinite, nor both finite and infinite, nor neither finite nor infinite, because in the ultimate sense, the Tathagata is unborn. As it is said in the Sutra: "Manjushri, unborn and unceasing, are the sublime words of the Tathagata." Some say that in the ultimate sense, the Tathagata exists, but does not exist after Nirvana, because no such statement is made. For someone who does not exist, like the son of Moksham, there is no such proof. Therefore, for those who say that the Tathagata exists in the ultimate sense, these are said: Those with intelligence imbued with the habitual patterns of various discriminations, who cling to the suffering of what is clung to, then, regarding Nirvana, does the Tathagata exist? Or does he not exist? Thus they engage in discriminatory thought. Does the Tathagata exist after Nirvana? Does the Tathagata not exist after Nirvana? Does the Tathagata both exist and not exist after Nirvana? The Tathagata is neither existent nor non-existent after Nirvana, thus they engage in discriminatory thought. For those who have opened the eye of true wisdom, in the emptiness of self-nature,
