It is not reasonable. Why is that? Arising and ceasing, it is not reasonable for them to be one, because they are not the same, like knowledge and non-knowledge, etc. Arising and ceasing, it is also not reasonable for them to be different, because they rely on one thing, like any of their own nature. Therefore, it also becomes a fault of not establishing the meaning of the reason, and of contradicting the meaning. If you say that among hundreds, you think you see arising and ceasing, then what is seen by the minds of ordinary people is true, but ultimately it is not so, because ultimately arising is prohibited, and it is impossible for ceasing to exist on arising. Therefore, arising and ceasing are seen by ignorance. If you say that those are seen by ignorance, but ultimately it is not so, then how can it be determined that this is known? It is said that the answer to that has already been given, but if that is not enough to be completely satisfied, then it should be said that, like this, if ultimately arising and ceasing rely on a thing and exist, then they should also be seen, then, that thing arises from a thing, or a non-thing arises from a thing, or a thing arises from a non-thing, or a non-thing arises from a non-thing. Then, first of all, ultimately, a thing does not arise from a thing, because it is a thing, like a man. If you say that before arising it was not existent, and later it is called a thing by the name of arising, even so, a non-thing does not arise from a thing. A non-thing called a sprout does not arise from a thing that is the nature of a seed, because it did not exist before arising? Or because it is not to be spoken of, like something other than that. Or, a non-thing does not arise from a thing, because it does not exist, like a rabbit's horn. If you say that just as there is no vase, it arises from being struck with a hammer, that is uncertain, it is not uncertain, because the arising and ceasing of the vase have been prohibited, and that itself has become the subject, because there is no different aspect. Similarly, a thing does not arise from a non-thing, becau

Because the fault has already been declared. Or, non-things are not the cause of things, because they are uncertain, like a rabbit's horn, because of subsequent inference. Likewise, non-things do not produce non-things. Because subsequent inference and the harm of fame will cause harm. Furthermore, does it arise from itself, or from another, or from both? It is the same for this. Things do not arise from themselves, nor do they arise from others. How can arising from self and other exist? It has already been widely declared in the beginning like that. Then, how will it arise? Please tell me! It will not arise, that is the meaning of the words. Therefore, since arising and destruction are not like that, the fundamental meaning of the thesis is not established. In the ultimate truth, if things are admitted to exist, then the views of permanence and annihilation will fall into error. Why? Like this, things are changing constantly and impermanently. In this regard, permanence is not destroyed, so it will fall into the view of permanence; impermanence is destroyed, so it will fall into the view of annihilation. Here it is said, even if things are admitted to exist, they will not become annihilated, nor will they become permanent. Why? Like this, the fruit is the continuation of the arising and ceasing of the cause. In this regard, because the fruit arises from the cause that is ceasing, it will not become annihilated; because the cause has ceased when the fruit arises, it will not become permanent. Here it is said, if the fruit is the continuation of the arising and ceasing of the cause, then there is no arising at the time of destruction, so the cause will fall into annihilation. Because there is no arising from exhaustion, like a burnt seed, that is what is thought. If earlier, whatever arises depending on something, that is not itself for the time being, nor is it different from it, therefore, it is neither annihilation nor permanence. Having admitted this, it is not reasonable to impose the fault of permanence and annihilation now, if you say so. That is not good, because there, the mere characteristic of convention is neither annihilation nor permanence, it has already been shown. And the truth of the ultimate truth is only without arising, therefore it will not become the fault of permanence and annihilation.
