If that happens, many great faults of wrongdoing will occur. But that is not reasonable, because only the continuous following of cause and effect, without connection, will not arise, and if it is not impermanent and non-cessation, it will not arise, therefore it is considered like the continuous example of seeds. If one is to establish those differences, making distinctions and discriminations, it will also become a flaw in the net of distinctions. From the continuum of mind and mental factors, because of the arising of those continuums, because of the difference in kind, therefore the meaning of this reason is not established. There is also the fault of the meaning of the reason being uncertain, because in those aspects, from the hair of cattle and the wool of sheep, a continuum of grass will arise, and from horns, bamboo will grow. Here it is said, what arises from the scriptures is also a sign, therefore not being wasted is also what the Bhagavan said, and its signs of impermanence and non-cessation have also been established, just like karma. If it is said that ultimately not being wasted has not been established, therefore the meaning of the reason has not been established, that is not reasonable. Here it is explained, the Bhagavan said: "Because that is unborn, therefore it will not be wasted." Therefore, whatever is said, what is unborn will not be wasted, that is what is accepted, but that is not established in the opponent's position, therefore the meaning is not established for oneself. Those who say there is self-nature must also understand that karma has no self-nature. Otherwise, if one vows, "If karma has substance, it will undoubtedly become permanent, because self-nature is unchanging." Therefore, karma is not done and changed, because the permanent has no function. If one thinks that unfabricated karma will experience the result, if karma is not done, meeting with the unfabricated will be destroyed. Furthermore, abiding in pure conduct is also not, that will also become a fault. Brahma is Nirvana, pure conduct is conduct in that, abiding in pure conduct is abiding for that meaning, not abiding in pure conduct is not abiding in pure conduct. For that pure conduct

Not abiding in celibacy also becomes a fault of abiding in celibacy, because even without doing the work to attain nirvana, there is this fault. Understand it as such. Similarly, all names such as vase and woolen cloth will undoubtedly contradict themselves. Furthermore, the distinction between merit and demerit is also unreasonable. This is doing good, this is doing evil, such distinctions are also not reasonable. Its ripening, ripens again and again. Its ripening has ripened, meaning its ripening has already ripened, that is, it has already produced the result of karma. If asked why the ripening of karma has already ripened, but it is said to ripen again and again? If because karma exists, therefore the essence exists. If because karma exists by its essence, therefore the essence exists. If it already exists, it cannot produce fruit again, because it has already produced fruit. Just like a voucher that has already been used. If it is said that a voucher that has already been used is not actually established, so that is not the path. The opponents retort: In reality, karma exists, because it has its cause. Here, if something does not exist, the cause is not reasonable, such as a garment made of turtle hair. Karma has afflictions as its cause, therefore, by the strength of the reason stated above, karma actually exists. That is not good, because karma is the nature of afflictions, and those afflictions are not real. If afflictions are not real, how is karma produced by them? Karma is the nature of afflictions, meaning that if karma is produced from the cause of afflictions, for example, if a vase is the nature of clay. Afflicted minds are not real, meaning that the nature of afflictions does not exist, because arising has been prevented, the examination of desire and attachment

Or is it because its own nature is blocked? Or from below: Whatever is suffering and not suffering, arising in dependence on perversion, those are without own nature, therefore afflictions are not real. Because it will be prevented. Therefore, if those afflictions are truly without own nature, then how can karma be done by them? This is to say that the cause of karma is not affliction. Therefore, the meaning of the reason is not accomplished, or the meaning is contradictory. Here it is said: In the ultimate sense, afflictions are only existent, because they have results. Here, whatever does not exist, there is no result to be taken, just as the ear faculty of a deaf person has no result, which is ear consciousness. Afflictions have the nature of karma and body as results, therefore, in the ultimate sense, afflictions are only existent, so the meaning of the reason is not accomplished. Because it is not a contradictory meaning, the desired meaning is established. Or, in the ultimate sense, karma is only existent, because it has its result. Here, whatever does not exist, there is no result, like the fruit of a sky flower. Karma has the nature of the body as a result, therefore, in the ultimate sense, karma is only existent, so for the inference that establishes the non-existence of the body, it will be harmed by later arguments. Here it is said: Karma and afflictions are shown as the cause of bodies. Showing it that way in the scriptures is conventional truth, not ultimate truth. In the ultimate sense, in our own school, with the previously shown establishment, if karma and afflictions are empty, how can the body be spoken of? Because karma and afflictions have no own nature, so just like karma and afflictions, the body is also not established, that is what is thought. Therefore, because they have results, the meaning of the reason is not accomplished, the previously mentioned faults have not been eliminated, and because the example is not established, it will not be harmed by later arguments. Saying: In the ultimate sense, karma is only existent, because there is an enjoyer who enjoys its result. This
