Viewing non-inherent existence. Those do not see that very thing in the Buddha's teaching. Viewing self-nature and so forth is because it contradicts reason and scripture. Thus, it is intended. How it contradicts reason has already been explained. How it contradicts scripture is explained here: The Blessed One, existence and non-existence, the Teacher, in Katyayana's, instruction, both existence and, non-existence are refuted. Katyayana, this world abides in two extremes: mostly existence and non-existence. And so forth. Likewise, Ananda, existence is permanence, and non-existence is annihilation. It is also said. Or, some may have such a thought: If, in ultimate reality, things are non-existent, then how do those, who see that very thing, say that they see that very thing? The sons of the Great Hero, those who dispel the darkness of ignorance with the rays of the sun of knowing dependent arising, when they fully contemplate with wisdom those things that arise from causes and conditions and become parts of conventionality, there is no self-nature, no other's self-nature, no existence, and no non-existence. Those who see in the way of negation, they are the ones who see the very thing, because it is the cause of seeing the very thing. Others, terrified and frightened by seeing emptiness, like the sky being terrified and frightened, like wanting to dispel the sky that has become the place of an obstructive substance, like those who abide in viewing self-nature and so forth. Those who view existence itself, other existence, existence and non-existence itself, those do not see that very thing in the Buddha's teaching. Those who see, see with wrong knowledge, therefore, it is intended. For that very reason, the Blessed One, existence and non-existence, the Teacher, Katyayana, in the instruction, both existence and non-existence are refuted. Not viewing self-nature and so forth is seeing the very thing, thus, it is appropriate to understand it well. Why? If self-nature exists, then it will not change into non-existence. For things, there is non-existence before, and non-existence after destruction.

are also present. This shows that the dharma of things changes into something else. Why is the self-nature of things inherently existent? If one does not want it to change into something else, it is because the characteristic of things, the self-nature changing into something else, will never be reasonable. It is said that just as the self-nature of the heat of fire will not turn into coldness. Therefore, that is a word of dissimilar dharma examples, such as for observation, it is not reasonable to have what has been done. Here, the subsequent inference is not ultimate, because the inner things do not have the nature of how to think, because it will change into something else, such as encountering the absence of touch of water, turning into a hot thing, does not have the ultimate nature of heat. If someone thinks like this: the sutra says that this tree has various elements, because there is also heat, so there is no example. To this, someone with magical powers or who has attained mastery of the mind, blesses any of the grass or chaff and manure, etc., to transform them into jewels, gold, and silver, etc., just like that, the tree also promises to transform, so it is said that this tree has various elements. If it is said that the meaning of various elements is various abilities, then something that has a certain ability should not be its essence, because the hardness of the earth should not turn into the essence of liquid, heat, and movement. The Vaibhashikas say that things that have changed in other states and times should also be known to exist, because they are the objects of consciousness, for example, like now, therefore, because it has changed into something else, if the meaning of that reason is arising and then ceasing, then for others, the meaning of the reason is not established. If it changes into something else, then for oneself, the meaning of the reason is not established. That is unreasonable, because ultimately, the thing that arises now is also not established as existing, so the example is incomplete, and the state
