the place of. Thus and so on are spoken, showing that the very nature of mind is the place of liberation. The word "place" should be regarded as the cause, that is, the place where the fruit arises. It has also been said in this way: The mind is the cause of the arising of wisdom; one should not look for the Buddha elsewhere. It has also been said: Secret Lord, Bodhi and Omniscience should be sought entirely from one's own mind, like that. How is it the cause? By meditating on whatever it is, holding the wheel of discursive thought, that is the place of liberation. Thus, from within, it should also be added that one holds onto the true state of mind as it is. By what does one hold onto what itself? By meditation, holding the wheel of discursive thought. Thus it is said, meditation is with samadhi, and it holds onto it. The mind of the nature of discrimination, or the mind together with discrimination, is the discriminating mind, and that itself repeatedly enters and returns to the object, so it is a wheel, and it holds onto it. How it holds onto it will be explained below. That is to show the qualities, the nature of beings and things, etc., are spoken of as that in the name of reason. Thus it is said, in the conventional sense, O sons of the Victorious Ones, these three realms are only mind, and the three times are also only mind. Thus it is said, knowing one's own mind is knowing everything. In the ultimate sense, one thing is the nature of all things, and all things are the nature of one thing. Whoever sees one thing as suchness, he also sees all things as suchness. Thus it is said, so this is reasonable. The goer is sentient beings. Things are the container world itself. The word "nature," etc., is applied to both. Intelligence is realization, and it is reasonable to call it intelligence, but not elsewhere, so it is thought that it is only called a name there. Now it is shown that it is difficult for those who are not diligent to realize it. Non-existent emptiness is like the sky. Thus and so on are spoken, things, the truth of the conventional, true and untrue, etc., do not exist, it is the ultimate truth. This is the nature of the ultimate truth reversed from the conventional truth.

also shows. In this way, it is established as the nature of emptiness. Now, in order to refute the imputation of utter non-existence, like a rabbit's horn, and to show the nature of self-luminous essence, it is said, "Like the sky, abandoning existence." Here, "sky" means the sky. What is it? Is it what appears blue above? No, because it is only a difference in color, so it cannot be used as an analogy. Then, from where does it say, "The aperture is called the realm of space"? Is it appearance and darkness? This is also not accepted, because it is only a difference in color, so it cannot be used as an analogy for the sky. Then, what is this "sky" that is spoken of here? This is only to be believed by inference, it is the nature of understanding. Therefore, it is neither an existing thing nor a completely non-existent thing. If it were completely non-existent, it would not have the ability to make one understand, because what does not exist is devoid of all abilities, like a rabbit's horn. If it is said that the non-existence of a rabbit's horn can also make one understand, for example, a peg can be inserted into the place of the horn on the head where there is no horn, then that is also the action of the sky itself. The non-existence of the rabbit's horn itself is not the cause of understanding. Therefore, the sky itself is the cause of understanding. Secret Lord, for example, the realm of space is neither a sentient being, nor life, nor powerful, nor born of power, nor an agent, nor a feeler, nor an object, nor a subject, and is free from all concepts and elaborations, yet it causes all beings in the realm of sentient beings to perform all activities such as going and coming, and there is no doubt about this. Just like that. This is also not non-existent, because people cannot see it directly, so it is very profound. When it is not examined, whether it is existent or non-existent, when it is truly examined, no concept can recognize it, so it is the ultimate truth. As the noble Nagarjuna said: Without characteristics and without birth, Not the path of words, unconditioned, Bodhicitta and space, The enlightened ones are non-dual. Thus it is said. And again from other scriptures, Secret Lord
